Flex a lite fan fix
Only one of my flex a lite fans is working. A new motor cost anywhere between $80 to $120. I tore it apart to see what was going on. I noticed that 2 of my brushes were not touching the commutator and the wiring had so much oxidation. FYI the springs in a mechanical pencil will not work as a replace...

Here are side by side comparisons! Dyno tune vs 8-bit's gt2876r. I have a problem with boost creep and the boost crept all the way up to 17lbs. So this is what I ended up with. I asked him to tune it safe. I made 318whp on 17lbs and timing was pulled for a final 297whp. The tune is also pretty. I be...

Everything I'm reading about this turbo says that I shouldn't waste my time with it unless I tune it between 18 and 24lbs. Granted most people that use this are on 2.0L's. Makes sense that the 2.4 would be a little less insufficient. Hell, the greddy kit comes wirh a TDO6 20G the car made 276whp wit...

Car is still laggy. My tuner hated nistune because there was no interpolation for the maf translation. He got fed up and used excel to make a curve adjustments. Why would my correction factor be set to 5 when all the tuning was done on 3? Air fuel is still all over the place while cruising. I'm assu...

On my z32 maf, my circuit card fried. I followed the tracks on the board and soldered a jumper wire between the 2 pOints. The jumper is not shownin the pictures. Then use A consult to check your voltage. Also ohm out. Around 1volt should be idle. http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n270/671_island_pr...

N62 Maf Hotwire Adjustment.
I can get my air fuel where it needs to be using the k and latency adjustments. Fuel pressure at idle is 38psi. My air fuel at idle and the first column of my TP is at the 11's and 12's. After that they go normal in the next few load areas. 550cc Deatchwerks injectors. I am wondering if it's a Hotwi...

Another issue. I have my cruise and open loop air fuel pretty good right now. I'll post k and latency after work. Getting the right TP isn't hard like you stated. Just put the logger on and then adjust my TP for better resolution. With latency for cruise set were it needs to be, idle at 11 to 12 a/f...

My idle doesn't stay constant for crap. I havent found any leaks from when I last leak check all the ic piping. Im well aware that nistune and base timing must be in sync. Kinda hard to do when im the only Man in a house hold of 3 women. Lol. I've never had a hard time setting base timing, but for s...

When I saw that picture on zylvia, I laughed too. From my understanding, the stock knock sensor is pretty much useless and nistune has not figured out how to accruatly dial in a knock count with the stock knock sensor. From examining my spare block, it appears that the best place to put my knock sen...

I know in the sr's they wire in a resistor to the harness. Can you explain what other ways are there? I could always bolt the stock sensor somewhere on the intake manifold and then bolt my knock light sensor to the factory spot. Perhaps something like this. http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n270/67...

I have a spare block just laying around and can't seem to find a good spot for the aux knock sensor. The stock location seems to be the best spot as you had already stated. However, I have nistune and I believe nistune does not have provisions for different knock sensors and so I must keep the stock...

Gizzmo Knock Light
Gizzmo Electronics came out with a knock light. It's $200 for the light and about $60 for the sensor. From what I understand, Turboxs no longer make their knock lights and so Gizzmo decided to make one. More info can be found @ www.tunertools.com. Just thought the community might be interested in it...

I understand what u did now. I have noticed that I run into atmospheric pressure around 54% load column. I can also clearly see how Both maps differ and how the last 2 columns are for over boost. I'm trying to get the pipe fix as soon as I can. Work, one vehicle, 12 hour shifts, family blah. Kinda d...

I have Looked at a few other tunes and have notice they all have the same idea in mind. I don't fully understand these things yet, but one day I will. I won't learn if dont ask... What it boils down to is me trying to tune around a vacuum leak. Since it has a leak, it makes idle leaner and driving i...

It can be can be done. I personally messed with soldering the inside of it. the hardest part will be sealing it if u go with a blow through setup. http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n270/671_island_pride/60ccd77b.jpg http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n270/671_island_pride/dc0eea78.jpg http://i114.p...
