Re: Boost leak on compressor housing wastegate mount.
Quick update, the bolt holes go all the way through. It looks like they used to be crush washers there. I'll look more into it. As far as Teflon tape, I fear that it would melt. I added another picture up top to show the bolt hole in the compressor housing going all the way through.

Boost leak on compressor housing wastegate mount.
This is so weird. I'm leaking air from the backside of my compressor where the wastegate mounts. My car has ran like Doodoo for a long time. I guess I'll pull the compressor housing and have metals tech fill and drill this. Anybody ever seem this before? It's leaking from the 2 holes that mount the ...

Re: What are probable causes of why the injectors won't fire
Question about the maf, would the wrong maf cause the car to not fire up at all? Also the car should run without the maf plugged in limp mode right? It's a freshly built motor and has never been started. To bad I'm not able to wire up the nistune port and run my nistune ecu to see exactly what's goi...

What are probable causes of why the injectors won't fire
Background -nissan napz - s14 ka24de full motor to include s14 dizzy -3C S14 Ecu - motor is stock with an excessive plenum. Engine is timed with the dizzy in the correct orientation and we are getting spark. I have a feeling the maf he is using will not allow the ecu to interpret the signal and thus...

Re: What's your PSI and ignition timing?
If you guys don't mind, post how much power you made with your peak timing as well. Ex gt3071r 300whp @ 12psi 17* Gt2871r 300whp @ 18psi 17* I'm looking at the concept of high volume low pressure vs low volume high pressure. I think timing vs power level would be easier to compare vs timing to psi s...

Re: Another 95 pnp no start issue
I retract my last post. It is indeed the 4 bar map sensor. What I don't understand is that when I used the mpx4115 settings the ecu read within range. I have also taken photos of different common map caliberations. What are your thoughts? Could this in fact be pretty much a 1 bar map sensor? http://...

Re: Another 95 pnp no start issue
Good call on calibrating the Map Sensor. Turns out that I had to use the "MPX4115" to get the map sensor to read around 112%. Did a little digging and found that this one of the earliest board they had and used this sensor before on the pnp before swapping over to the map daddy. Makes sens...

Re: Another 95 pnp no start issue
Alright finally have cam sync and rpm. What would cause a fuel cut during cranking? I read that if tps threshold is exceeded, that could do it however I am not exceeding the threshhold. Required fuel load is set 2389 550cc Link to the vid of what I'm talking about. http://s114.photobucket.com/user/6...

Re: Can I run an auto TPS in a manual s14?
I can't confirm, but I would like to say yes. As long as the plug matches up and it fits the throttle body shaft. Setting the tps to fsm will let the ecu know it's at idle. I believe the ecu (auto/manual) will determine how those values are interpreted. As far as resistance goes, I believe they are ...

Freeze plug removal technique
Coolant leak from my freeze plug. Never pulled the intake mani from the block before. First time all day and the mani was split into 2 sections. 2nd time 30 minutes. Freeze plug was a paint to pull. I could not bend it in half and pry it out. The first one I did wouldn't seal. I had to do it a 2nd t...

That would me changing the jumpers on the ECU back as well. J10 and J8 back to "2"

Must be nice to have at least one kid with outdoor plumbing. Sadly I have all girls. I always play pretended drift with the youngest. She says her white car (s14) is to loud. The older one was telling people when she was younger that if daddy didn't put a turbo on his car it would work. "Daddy ...
