good luck

Sounds like it will be a lot of fun once done, your plans are very similar... i have a 95 pickup and plan on turboing the E till it blows and then swapping over to the 4x4 HB233b, 300zx tranny w/ adapter, and 240sx DE because of the girdled bottom end and airflow. Ive got the intake and head from a ...

i get a little valve clatter (or im assuming it is) when i startup cold... i hear the nissan oil filters are anti drainback... that and running 5-30 helps... it doesnt make sense why it would just start now if it was valve clatter

Maybe its a fin off your turbo bouncing around in your cyl head :D Did you ever get a new turbo or new rotating assembly? <-- unrelated It could very well be the piston siezed on the tensioner, i would take off the valve cover and see if the chain tensioner is being held correctly and the piston is ...

Stand infront of your car and feel the air movement with the fan clutch heated and locked up revved at 7k.. im sure it would move a lot of air, don't forget that the fan keeps pace with engine rpm when the fan clutch is locked.... I do love the tarus fan in my D21 :D

ive taken about 18% fuel out of the top end of the rpm band to keep it within 14, it was around 11s when WOT. The idle was in the 12s.. it pops (miss?) when i lean it out towards 14s, i think i need to check out my wires, its been doing it for a while but gets worse with the leaning. It sounds healt...

I think you have to mess with the starter mounting. Im thinking about going the 240 DE route into my truck too, so i can use the 300zx tranny, and have a girdled bottom end

Ive got the luk pro gold clutch, the pedal is softer then stock, it takes a crapload of abuse, and i hear it can hold 10psi (depends on a lot but you get the idea) no clue which turbo I looked into the 300zx clutch and just gave up and got the luk, i didnt find much solid information on which disc (...

ive got the pacesetter, i liked the full length design, they were a nice performance gain with a v8 muffler and no cat... if you can i would cut the connector off of the collector and put a flex pipe and the same diameter pipe as the collector if you arent going to use your stock exhaust. (if that m...

i couldnt get the 240 maf to work with the 240 ecu.. im guessing its the wiring as you said! the 240 sensor fits in the housing much better, being able to use both screws. I ground down the pins on the maf enough so they wouldnt contact the case. I ditched my idle control valve along with the rest o...

safc2 tuning, after the 240 intake install

I dont know if its just my truck, but i would get a rough idle / popping after a few minutes idling after the swap... ive recently purchased an safc2 and after leaning the idle out -25% it idles very smooth and it doesnt smell like a 60s camaro. (no cat for me) Ive got a wideband, ill be having the ...

Cant forget about the timing chains on the SOHC (89-90)... if its clacking from the front timing cover then that would be a sign.. Its good to look for ripped tie rod, ball joint, etc boots.. not a big deal though

I slapped the 240 cam into my truck and noticed the powerband shift upward... even the gf noticed that was riding along. Timing and everything were the same afterwards
