I dont understand really what you're "fusing", but this is how mine is set up.... Battery Relocated to trunk. I extended the + connection with a red 4 gauge wire to the trunk, where it connects to the Positive Terminal on the battery. The Negative on the battery goes to a nice chassis gro...

okay.

I don't have mine fused, and it's been fine for, going on a year now.

Though, for peace of mind, sure why not, fuse it!! :)

okay.

Yes, the Idle Air Control Valve. The idle motor is actually attached to it, that's why I called it an idle motor.

Okay, sorry, let me rephrase...

My ka-t's Idle Motor is not working. So I picked up a different one, but I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to check if it's good before I put it in.

Maybe checking it with a voltmeter or something?

I appreciate any responses. Thanks.

have you checked for boost leaks? even really small ones will add up. that sounds like the culprit to me. I was having similar boost pressure problems, that turned out to be some small leaks. Make yourself a boost leak tester. Here, check this out : http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/158784 anoth...

Is there a way to test an Idle Motor?

So, my idle motor that's on the car right now is shot.

I picked up a used one from a newer s14, looks pretty clean, but I wonder if there's a way to test it? maybe with an ohm-meter or something..

thanks guys.

Cold oil damages bearings.. How? When oils cold, you have a higher oil pressure, meaning that the film between the bearings and the shaft is greater than normal. yes, but you must also remember that oil viscosity changes between initial cold startup and once normal operating temperature is achieved.

It's not really a question of who is and who isn't maxxing them out, it's acually more of a mathematical formula... Of course every setup is different, but that's a bit extensive. It's also not about believing you or not, because I really honestly do believe that you made the power. It's more a ques...

cool thing about the s13 is that you don't need body kit **** to look nice, you just need to take the spoiler off and get a suspension! money in the pocket so you can go KA-T or SRfaggy in a hurry. Or you can roll like me and stop worrying about sexifying your car to make yourself interesting and j...

Hey guys, sorry for the somewhat confusing title. I also really apologize if this is in the wrong section. I recently dyno'd the s13, and put down some nice numbers..(in my signature)... yep thats definately not factory.

go on ebay and search for a throttle cable.

Or get it on the for-sale section of one of the forums.

or a junkyard if you've got access to one.

Anyone using the "Earl's Turbo Feed Line Filter" ?

I blew my last turbo up due to breaking in my new motor without a feed line filter. I do not want to make that same mistake again.

I wonder if anyone has had any experience with this feed line filter.
