+1 and the turbo will help muffle a tiny bitNateDogg wrote:Keep the glasspack resonator where it is and put on the biggest magnaflow can muffler you can fit.
The muffler is what does the quieting work. The resonator is basically a frequency attenuator that takes some of the raspy-ness out of the sound.

i have thought about that but i would rather just take the time to build the engine i have correctly. and tune it correctly and not worry about having to swap engines. 100$ for a spare engine and the extra time you have to work on it is well worth the money believe me. being without the car until y...

I think the Honda racing radiators will be OK, I've seen people run them before and have seen them for sale modified for KA's... If you try it just monitor your temps closely and report on how it works. The stock cooling system utilizes the clutch fan and has a secondary electric fan that kicks on w...

Use the throttle body cooling loop for the cooling lines, and run a T off the oil pressure sender for oil feed and weld a bung to oil pan for the return. I'm using an SS autochrome manifold and t25 on an S14 with A/C and powersteering and no issues, the turbo and manifold came from a guy running it ...

You could hop on the freeway in 5th gear and never use the clutch, so mileage isnt really important. Its really all about wearing a slight amount off the disc so it mates with the flywheel and pressure plate more completely This. 500miles is just an average for like a daily driver. Just go down the...

How old's the water pump? I had a similar issue for like a month the car would overheat randomly. Turns out the pump had gone bad, but the weep hole wasn't leaking unless the hoses where under pressure, and it was only a couple drops at a time. I finally noticed a couple drops which had collected on...

Yeah, for the record it's an Isis maf, I wouldn't say the maf was crap, electronically it worked perfectly, it's just the construction seems lower quality than full oem and I would just advise against running it in blow through. Enjuku has pretty awesome customer service though, and they gave me sto...

Blown up N62
The other day I was out for a cruise down some back roads. I usually don't go hard, just a nice cruise through the country to calm my nerves and get rid of stress. Anyways, the truck in front of me pulled off the road, and as I began to accelerate I heard this loud *pop.* My first thought is I blew ...

Oil drain is made from rubber or silicon hose, it's very thick... but not solid. I don't think my seal is bad since the problem is very intermittent. In fact, the more i think about it (and with everyone's opinion), the more I could see the drain line causing the issue more than anything else. I hav...

I jacked up the car, and removed the testpipe before removing the downpipe (my downpipe is a huge pita to remove), let her warm up and idle for more than 30 minutes, and couldn't get it to smoke at all. There was no oil or reside present in the downpipe at all. It was also about ~75* today, which me...

Well if it is the turbo oil seals, it should leak horribly once RPM is above idle due to an increase in oil pressure. It would also get worse as oil temps increase due to a decrease in oil viscosity. Ok, so because it's only leaking at idle, that's evidence against turbo oil seal, and evidence for ...
