Rear markings I don't know what they are. Front markings are to help you decide bearing colors with the F.S.M.'s help.

yeah i think his flanges are not flat or used a **** rtv. or both. or the casting is ****, which it is. haha. im working on a 240 with an excessive intake mani and it is the worst thing to work on in the world, trying to get bolts out requires the use of open end wrenches because the casting mold di...

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
would you rather have the seal suck tight to the crank backwards, or be sucked open letting in clutch debris from the rear and road debris from the front? The only concern i had was whether or not oil would reach the lip seal touching the crankshaft and be durable. All modern day seals have a spiral...

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
I am just waiting to hear your comments on blown vs snail... It's been a week and all I can say so far is... it's weird. With the supercharger, boost is always available, even @ 2000 rpm. It's not much boost at that low RPM, maybe 4-6 psi, but it's always there. The turbo, on the other hand, doesn'...

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
Trans was in the car couple days ago. Its not right. Pulled valve body monday after some concerns about incorrect springs being put back into accumulators. That fixed half the problems. Pulled valve body again tuesday night and air checked all clutches and there's a leak in the forward clutch. I th...

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
hell stock mounts come apart. I ignored this at first because I'm just not sure how to interpret such a random potshot. Does this mean that I shouldn't complain about JGS mounts since the stock mounts come apart? Does it mean that since stock mounts also come apart, I shouldn't use either of them? ...

cool to hear you tried it. if it idled well you didn't go far enough :D  whats important is that you tried it and saw a change. Whether you like or dislike that change is up to you. Did you ever decide on what you're going to use for engine management? Honestly, I'm not sure yet. I'll be running this motor N/A for a bit to break it in and save up some $ for engine management. I'd love to go with AEM just a little iffy on how parameters and whatnot will work for stock function ...

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
on the thermostat break the little brass wiggle valve thingy and drill out the hole a little bigger and the motor will be more likely to burp itself. wont warm up as fast but it better than dealing with air bubble or not having a cooling system vacuum tool.

Ive never heard someone say its my track car and is a gt28 to big ha.
What kind of tracking you talking about? If you want a cheap turbo that wont fail in a year check out journal bearing precision turbos and older TO4E t3/t4's from turbonetics.

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
safety wiring it to itself isnt going to help. I'd put one of the bolts on the diaphram in a lathe and drill through that and tie to that. If you dont have a lathe, then weld a tab onto the top of the canister after disassembly. If you cant do any of that Locktite The other thing you could do is get...

i'm using the same coils. if its thick like that, it may be alright. just have the ait after the intercooler and not in the intake manifold. The fact that you're using an ethanol/alcohol based fuel, egt's can be put low on the list. Even with 35psi nitrous early in the pass i never see anything high...
