Re: Music thread

I don't mean to be a weenie (yup I said weenie) or anything, but theres already a thread like this out there. Although it kinda ended up turning into a how to get music onto your computer then died off quickly. But music wise I listen to just about everything as long as there is no banjo or orchestr...

Datsun 510

Took my dad's car out for a drive to go meet with a recruiter (Navy) yesterday, decided to make this little video while I had it out.
Taken all from my GoPro.

Im curious to know this as well, I don't think it would effect its life as its barely being used/pushed? Maybe at 4psi its a leaf blower? lol

This makes me think of V8 guys with big turbos on low boost. (stock motors with twin 76mm turbos on like 5psi)

As much as the idea of making a new site seems great, this forum still has a ton of information on it. It also has a ton of new spam as of recently. It would make sense to figure out which is more efficient, making a new site of fixing an old one. Whatever happens hopefully it is in the right direct...

I would put the built motor in and break it in n/a. Get all the bugs/kinks out to make it 100%. Then get all of your turbo parts together then boost it like the motor never came out. Maybe even save yourself some time and leave a turbo drain bung in the oil pan already and just block it off while na.

I would go with either Nistune if a shop can tune it for you (if you can't tune) or an Enthalpy ROM tune.

I answered you on Zilvia as well :D

04E and mines journal bearing. With turbos around that size BB and JB aren't that much of a difference for just under 400hp in my eye. I'd only go BB if I was looking to break 600whp or something. In the end either turbo you go with is going to be a good choice.

What levels of boost can a stock KA in good condition take? Lets put it this way, my block is very high mileage (230k) and im pushing 16psi from a 50 trim. I feel a Holset hx30 would be pretty good for your goals. I don't know much about the Holset turbos too much but I believe it is similar to a 50 trim? (someone correct me if im wrong) as some people say and I agree with them completely turbo lag is overrated. Full boost around 3.5k is really nice as...

Don't forget sometimes when the nuts/bolts get really hot they I suppose expand and back out. When I installed my manifold the first time I'd let the car idle for awhile to get nice and hot then let it cool down and tighten the nuts a little more each time.
