I second that bet. Your motor is not timed properly. Did you even mess with the cams though or simply install the engine and distributor? Also, to add to the illustration you can pull the valve cover off and get the engine TDC. Then stab the distributor with the valve cover off that way you can look...

I don't mean to be rude but first off what are you doing trying to turbo that engine anyway? You have an apparent oil leak you need to fix first. Next the car will nothing close to dependable with the way you have it setup and you should have had someone who's familiar with installing turbo kits do ...

I spoke to Jim myself and asked him about his cams. He told me they aren't but a little bigger than the S13 exhaust cams. Ben is full of ****. I don't like him because he will only selectively tell you things that will sell product. He depends on our ignorance to sell stuff. I have caught him out th...

The cams I have from Crower are one offs. I have the part number on the box they cam from but the box is at my Dad's shop. next time I'm up there I'll post it for you. They are big cams compared to S13 248 cams. The clearance difference in the cams are so big you have to take the head to a machine s...

I can tell you from my experience that with Forged pistons my engine ran rough when first started on a cold morning then smoothed out after a couple of seconds idling. In my case it was just due to pistons not warm and needing to expand. There were a couple of times I had to drive the car with the e...

How are your fans setup? One on one off until A/C kicks in, both fans on high, both fans on low, etc? I have the same setup (GReddy, cap, dual fans) and don't have that problem and I'm in FL! I do have added components like the cooling panel, ceramic coated parts, OEM lower engine shroud. How about...

Engine temp cooling managment
Okay I have had this problem for a long time looking for suggestions. I have a Greddy radiator with the FAL twin 12" fans pulling air through the radiator, condensor, and greddy front mout through the stock bumper. The car is fine until I have the A/C on and sitting in rush hour traffic the wat...

I have ported and polished my head but I can tell you the bottle neck is not the head. Its the cams. You need to find some big cams and the KA comes alive!! I'm running crowers which I feel very confident are bigger than JWT based on what he told me. Its my understanding they are almost the same as ...

I recommend you do not remove that screen in the oil pick up. If you've ever taken off and oil pan then you'd see why. It stops large pieces of garbage from going into the pump. I have done the trick of opening up the pick up tube hole. It works very well. I simply used a larger drill bit and opened...

No, stock head bolts are fine. Duy's old S14 was using stock headbolts running 30psi of boost and 100 shot of NOS. I've run as much as 23 psi and never lifted the head. The head bolts are fine. I do recommend use some thread grease on the threads before installing the bolts. I used some grease that ...

The crankcase already has 2 port on it, a port on the side of the timing cover and a port on the valve cover, both of those are filtered right now. And i would think even if there was backpressure, if you put an angle on the port and had it at the bottom of the downpipe you would get vacuum.. i cou...

Intake manifold will be great with before and after dyno graphs to measure the results. Also with a report of how the car feels after the installation. The oil pan sound okay as long as its not too pricey. An electric water pump adapter with a pulley to take its place would be nice to put an electri...

what heat range are those spark plugs? I know what you're talking about. The idle is so horrible you can't even time your motor. Try to idle the motor up to 900-1000 RPMs. Do this by using the IACV screw. Remember, that you must put the engine in the idle adjust mode first before adjusting the IACV....

Okay, welcome to the world of Jim Wolf. This a code problem I believe. I experienced the exact same thing. One problem is that typically Jim Wolf's 50lbs injector program is too lean at idle causing random misfires. I don't know why they can't get it right but the only solid program they have is the...
