Also, the guys that put that kit together kinda OWN this site (KA-T.org)...check out the supercharged KA section and you'll see lots of guys running either the KA24DER set up, or the TK set up that I have.

The KA24DER kit is a much better engineered alternative to the TK kit. If I had to go back I would prolly buy the KA24DER kit, but oh well.. I have a similar plate the the supercharger mounts to, and an alternator relocation bracket, but that it... everything else I need to fab/build. I went back an...

If I was running a turbo, 100% that would be the easiest option, but I'm running a supercharged set up. I could just modify the supercharger adaptor plate... Its a Thomas Knight kit, so the plate is steel and I wouldn't be able to weld the cooler directly to the plate, I could mount the cooler direc...

I'm prolly going to do a crummy job of explaining it, but I'll give it a try... plan is to mount the stock upper manifold in a jig that will keep both flange ends, the side mating to the lower manifold, and the side with the injectors in the same plane and orientation that they are in right now... T...

Yeah, for my first real Fab project I may have bit off more than I can chew, but I keep looking at it, and it makes more and more sense everytime. Plus I'm confident of the skills of the guy who is actually going to tig my mocked up pieces together. Also I help design fabrications like this for a li...

Got the cooler in the mail today, and all I can say is that it feels really diesel. ITs much heavier than I thought it would be, but heres a couple before shots for size reference. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd505/superDorifto/IMAG0190.jpg http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd505/superDori...

It most definitely would help on a turbo set up. My only concern is delaminating the airflow and directing it through the cooler when its so close to the intake ports already. I'm sure you can solve that issue with some fancy casting/fabrication on the inner surfaces of the plenums, but I am going t...

First (that I know of) KA Charge Cooler

up guys. I finally pulled the trigger on a project I've been ruminating over for a few months now. I've got nearly everything I need to begin, but would like any constructive advise that I can get from any of the fabricators on this forum. Basic problem with supercharging a 240 is that the xterra m6...

I was able to snag one of the last series I units for OBD II. From what I've read on here and other forums it simply ignores the emission system inputs back to the ecu.

I run 480cc injectors from an s15 Sr, and I see near 90% duty cycle. 550cc is a good choice That makes me feel a bit better about the numbers I came up with. Been lurking for a while and slowly piecing my kit together...I am going complete overkill on a lot of things, but I want to be able to set t...

So to chime in while the guys that have actually run a supercharged set-up for a while, are answering questions.... I would like to get some back up to make me feel a little better about my own calculations for injector size. Using a couple different calculators available on most of the Nissan forum...

^^^ LS1 power hehehe they are fun but traction limited i found that out on an old s13 yeah GTO is nice but i think 240 will be more fun to tinker with as well Thats what it really comes down to...There was no real DIY mentality with the GTO community. There were fast cars, and expensive cars, and f...

I didn't sell the GTO to fund this project, I bought the 240 and honestly completey lost interest in the GTO. Don't get me wrong, its a fantastic car, but I never got all that excited about modifying it. Selling it got rid of the last bit of my debt, so I guess in the end it will help me have more f...

The more research I do, the more inclined I am to agree with you. THe standard DP is gonna spool way too quick, got some decisions to make.

SuperDorifto's Overbuilt KA24DE - T Project

Updated the tital again - I sold all of my supercharger stuff and have gone back to a T28R set up - Updated the title to reflect the new direction my project has taken in the last few months. pretty much the same build as before, but instead of a Disco Potato - I'm using the standard Nissan/Eaton M6...

i would also check to make sure that the crank girdle is not on backwards. i had the same problem youre describing, and after calling my machinist the first thing he asked was, "is the crank girddle on backwards?" I swore up and down and said no way, i figured it only fits on one way, the ...
