Re: GT3076R-WG - Want to convert to external WG.
go for a jog and note your breathing effort, now go for run a while breathing through a straw and note your breathing effort. Most t2 setups make massive trq down low that tappers off(some cases drastically) which will reduce the HP output. If you make peak trq later you generally make more hp. Some...

that will not work, and did not work for me. As explained to me on here the exhaust pipe will have positive pressure. I went as far as hooking up a vac gauge to the system, it would pull some vac for brief periods of times. It made my car smoke like a chimney during a polar vortex. Feel free to try ...

If you cant get a friend with a welder take the dp you currently have to a muffler shop? once you wrap it you wont even know its not off the shelf. I've had to make a new dp for every manifold I have used, cast on 2, cast on2/3,and tubular.

Just be warned its not a perfect system as with any aftermarket ecu, people that have had good results will claim things like you are incompetent or janked the install, might even go as far as making videos with snide comments about people they know nothing about. Good thing opinions are like asshol...

Re: Need ECU recommendations please
I have the trigger wheel ,it has broken several starters and jacked my flywheel up pretty good. cranking timing is 10* so thats not really an issue as I've been told... I have the recommended value currently ,but playing with hardware latency really didnt do much. IIRC had it from 10 to 120 and timi...

Yes, chipped is like jwt/enthalpy. MS has a learning curve. I wouldn't suggest it unless your really wanting to learn as it requires a certain knowledge to setup/tune or else you will be picking up your ring lands after one mistake. qft basically anytime you sneeze check and verify ignition timing....

I am not a pnp user but I am a ms2e user. off the top of my head; destroyed starters, fxxked up flywheels, timing drop off at higher rpms, constantly chasing firmware updates or you get no help, and most recently a blown motor from a bug that was fixed on one of those updates. It has its positive and it...

No, sorry, its been years since I have owned a sohc or even touched one. What AFR are you hitting in boost? How much timing did you retard from the stock atmospheric pressure timing? You are looking for 11.8:1 AFR or richer(rich is safe, oil is cheap), if you have a walbro pump you can try an adjusta...

what injectors do you have? Stock is going to run out around 4~5psi depending on the turbo.

when you pull the rad cap with the engine running does it try to bubble out? I've seen bhg do tiny bubbles as well as big bubbles with a very potent gas smell. Sounds like you are leaking pressure to the cooling system. Its an aluminum head so if it overheated the head is probably warped. Could be a...

HAM :werd: very nice. I think part availability and cost are why so many people swap to the dohc, I could not find a cheap sohc when mine blew but I could get full swap dual cam for a couple hundred dollars. I liked my sohc it ran hard what crank pulley are you running? ati? If not it would be worth...

7psi depending on the turbo is around maxing the maf so you could be on the look out for a bigger maf, not required till you see that 4.5+ volts using consult. You need to build the timing map and adjust for injectors, also enrich the hell out of the higher loads till you know timing is good. Also f...

I'd use the biggest wrench I have and 'accidentally' whack him in the balls and say oh it makes it bigger.. you should find a new friend before this guy jacks your engine up. abrasives like that spit out a boat load of tiny particles that will not get caught by the filter and will probably end up ai...

Re: Help Please Nistune setup
Its hard to just give you a tune, so many minute factors play into the tuning a nissan ecu. A tuner should be capable enough to overcome the hurdle of an na to turbo swap, this assumed is a stock block using 93 octane, retard timing 1 degree for every 1 psi of boost you plan to run, tune the afr ric...

Re: KA24DE Compression Ratio Pistons Pros and Cons
I've done (assumed) 11:1 sohc pistons,45trim t3,600cc,z32maf,and 93 octane. It was insane in terms of spool, granted it was a small turbo to begin with. 18psi spikes to 25 on a wg failure. Keep it rich and retarded, oil is cheaper than ring lands or bearing is what I always say. I like 1*:1# on 93 oc...

I did not mess with the warm up tables, at all. I usually dont mess with it unless on an atmospheric bov or I am experiencing warm up issues( my 880's were a bi*ch on roms). Once you adjust tp and ttp min it should not need much.

Re: car will not start...
a quick way to verify that the starter works on car is to run a fused wire from 12volts to the small single wire. This will also tell you if you have a wiring related issue in the ignition circuit. If the starter cranks this way you either have a bad switch or wiring between A and B.

Re: Stock Ka24e ECU Tuning
as much as I like nistune you can probably get an emulator and run tunerproRT and get a realtime tune knocked out just as fast, then burn the chip and forget it. Take a look at the timing maps in the maf tuning theory thread, which is a good read on timing vs rpm and boost without much searching. Ke...

Re: Can someone take a look at my megasquirt msq please
did going back to the old msq help?
I really like the 3.3.1 FW so once setup it should work fine.
on premium you can probably get away with around 30* advance n/a wot iirc stock is like 28* depending on year.
I'll shoot you my email and I'll take a look at the msq once you get it running.

A paper gasket is made of paper, a cork gasket is made of cork, a silicone gasket is made of silicone, a graphite gasket is made of graphite . well 10* is not really that much unless base timing is jacked up as well. I have yet to use ve analyze live...

I hate to sound like the normal response to anything related to ms but I highly recommend updating to the newest firmware 3.3.1 my car runs insanely better than it did on 3.2.5.
