Do any of you guys know how to turn the Check engine light off when doing a EGR delete. I have a 95 s14 and the resistor trick didn't work. Used both a 100k ohm 1/4 and 1/2 watt resistor in place of the sensor and it didn't work lol.

get an s13. with 5k you can do a ton. S12 aftermarket support is almost nil. FWD is no fun.

yeah but it's good to see that the o2 is indeed sending the right signals. with the voltage changes, you can see whether or not it is running more rich or lean depending on the voltage. OP doesn't have a wideband hooked up am I right?

there's like 1-3k dollar scan tool that'll tell you when you connect it to the OBD II connector ;]. I go to classes for auto tech so I get to use it for free . That scan tool does wonders.

the second o2 sensor just before the end of the downpipe is there only to make sure the first o2 sensor is working. It's the first one that the ecu actually adjusts for.

FA: fortune autos. Just as good as Stance if not better. They rebuild their coils whilst stance does not.

I heard they break around 100k. I don't think it ever was replaced, maybe that's why it broke. But I'm fairly certain it was just one of the guides bolt got loose and everything got jammed and snapped off. Hence the "sprocket" on the crank is dusted. It was also bound up in the engine and...

Can't believe no one has mentioned Amsoil. I use amsoil stuff in my car and it's PERFECT. I used to have some BS in my car before from the previous owner. Changed the tranny fluid, and no more grinding, all gears go in smoothly whether in cold or hot weather.

hmmm that is true. Could be a sensor? should do what he said ^ and slowly knock things off the list. Do everything that's free first :]

clutch could be slipping. Or tranny is bouncing around a lot. Happened with my car when I had a solid tranny mount. RPM's would jump around.

from what I know... It is. Couple friends and I were talking about it and they had read articles about it. But... this isn't known information yet for some reason. Maybe it's just rumors.

It's probably off balance wheels. just get em balanced and update us.

from what ive read even within the first 5 minutes of scrolling through the site, stock cams are fine.

go to an alignment place and tell them you want a front end inspection. It should be free as they have to do it before alignments anyway. They're free here anyway... But after they do that and dont see anything wrong... start checking other stuff. One step at a time.
