Thank you all for your help! looks like my build will be a lot cheaper than anticipated. Do you like your Enthalpy tune? I was thinking of using them, but I really want a proper dyno tune done. I love the tune. Going with a plug and play ECU is beautiful (my 1st turbo'd car) made things so simple. ...

At least your making a good choice in doing a rebuild instead of slapping a turbo on since you were low on 2 cylinders. I should do a rebuild soon but I enjoy the reaction I get when I tell people my setup and the mileage on the motor. Slowly getting parts is a good way to go as long as your organiz...

Yeah im really taking my chances with my motor, but my budget at the time didn't allow me a rebuild and turbo with all the parts I wanted (ramhorn mani over log etc.) Until I get the time and money I suppose Ill test the limits of a high mileage KA. But for safety reasons and the power you want to m...

Your readings about pushing 300hp on stock internals with a good tune are indeed true. I have a high mileage block (230k) and it hasnt given up on me yet. (10psi on a 50 trim) :D Your bottom end list looks pretty good, I would possibly change the thermostat and little things of that area as an extra...

E85 will definitely keep things safer than just pump gas. The setup you want to make sounds a lot like what I am currently running (minus cams mine are still stock). 350whp seems to be still safe for pump gas (from what I've read). If I rebuilt my motor (my block is super tired) I would feel comfort...

One of my friends used to have a 550whp s2k and it made under 380tq :? lol. One night at a local drag strip he spun his first 2 runs and his 3rd run hooked 2nd and blew the trans lol on street tires. But in the end it was still a fast car. Ive seen an F20C in a datsun 510 and it was pretty cool, but...

Music thread?
Hey everybody, just curious of what type or types of music you all listen to. I've had the same cd in my car for about 8 months now and when I updated itunes I lost all my music. Maybe list some bands genres or just certain songs from artists you enjoy? I listen to about everything except classical ...

Went for a quick drive today and cruising my AFR's are 15.6 ish (depend on how little throttle I use, like maintaining 70mph) full boost at almost 10psi (like 9.8) wideband is showing me 11.4. Just figured I'd update with real numbers although my guesstimations were pretty close. :D Nice! I forgot ...

cruising im around 15-16s. My idle doesn't show up on my wideband, could be a number of things but my car idles beautifully so I havent investigated it. In boost I believe im around 11.4-11.7 I never look at my wideband as much as I should. :? Ill go for a drive tomorrow and confirm my numbers. Also...

Ive got an Enthalpy tune and I love it. Plugged it in and started first try. My motor has alot of mileage on it (230k) and its been strong on 9psi, but I'd say the its the tune thats keeping my motor alive :) Also, I think im doing pretty good on gas mileage but im not exactly sure how many mpgs im ...
