Yeah I was going to mention the sunoco! Huffman got away with a rushed rom tune(timing a little aggressive for my taste) on that stuff, think he did a few events till his nistune came back.

Ok revhard was my thought just dont see them anymore lol Just a heads up, chevy dealer did a test a few years back after increased rubber fuel parts failures, sure enough the ethanol content they found was in some(most) cases more than double the 10% stickers placed on the pump! highest was 24% I'll...

Why are you trying to read com port 3 in nistune when you know the consult is on com port 4? Set nistune to read com port 4 and see if it works. I want to say contact calum and verify that board will work with nistune I cant see why it wouldnt work though. You dont have to use nistune to get a great...

I abuse my clutches and an autozone(pre update, much more pedal effort and clamp load) d21 clutch last about 2 years. This is a non performance oem type clutch, easily handles 250~300hp and has a lifetime warranty... on my third clutch.

if its leaning out adjust the k constant to get it stoich, like I said the modifier is kinda janky IMO.

Re: ka-t wont run
34 is the knock code, you either experienced enough knock to put the ecu into limp mode or you have a bad sensor or wiring causing the code. Heat range 6 is pushing your luck over 5 or 6psi. Also your gap is set pretty aggressive for boost unless you have the supporting mods. what is your afrs idle/...

Re: ka TURBO on Nistune (starts but kills by leaning out)
I have noticed a few things with nistune the kconstant(injector/maf scaler) is not very good, I'm talking more than 1500 value difference(could eb the ethanol rich gas we have in jacksonville). And on the rollers with andrew huffmans car I could not get afr to change no matter how much I changed the...

IACV hose goes to pre tb post IC .
Nistune is pretty good but useless without a wideband afr gauge.. It should only take 30~45 minutes to get a pretty good street tune capable of much abuse.

Re: Exhaust Suggestions
your turbo will not like a baffled/chambered muffler.
Put a glass pack in place of the test pipe. IIRC when you place a resonator close to the engine it has more noise reduction.

Re: port and polish question
you want the PNP to be flow tested along the way to verify gains, a turbo pnp is different than an na pnp. Taking away the max amount of material is not the goal IMHO, its to improve flow. The head on my car is a prime example, some asshat decided to go nuts and remove as much as possible in his bac...

wow some people have cracked it, albeit not easily or economically. Yes this IM and cams are a big part, but IMHO what allowed that number is the ati damper. The stock crank gets really gnarly after 5500 rpms(the way it was described to me was "trying to rip itself apart"). thats got to be...

CTS.... the o2 sensor is a trim(also used for the self learning function to make a final trim) Typically highway speeds around 70 mph+ will result in rich running on a stock ka(with o2),tuned in speed enrichment from factory set at 68mph from my history. I'm not sure if this was to keep the engine c...

just make sure you put the drain bung(on the pan) in an ac friendly location. I had to mod compressor and bracket to clear my bung, works with 3 different ebay manifolds..

IIRC they drill all the way to number one. It starts getting nasty around 5500rpms and get exponentially worse as revs go up. If you want revs get the fully counter weighted crankshaft. The destroke is not a terrible idea if you mainly want revs. A square motor is a happy motor.

on a stock ecu yes it was just as cold a best of 46* on a near 100*day. On megasquirt I dont get as cold of air.
I think wrap on the cold side line is a good idea if you are close to the hot stuff but the fluid/air is moving pretty quick, throw a fan on the condensor?

an aftermarket coil is only required when you surpass the stock coil ability. Just because a coil has 800 jiggawatts doesnt mean you use that much. Its capable if it requires that much to jump the gap.
