So I picked up a S14 stock motor and 5 speed with harness and stock ECU...

Still gonna build up a forged motor, but for the first installation the stock parts will do...

Will get it running NA first, then go from there!

I will have the motor on Saturday!

For that price I'm really liking the EFR 6258 turbo - you'd have to fab your DP and stuff but might be worth considering

Well I spoke to the guys at Full Race... They'll be getting a bunch of new split housing(divided) turbos in soon. They recommended a T4 split housing EFR 6258 It has an internal Wastegate, internally integrated blow off valve and a built in boost controller solenoid... Man would that simplify things...

I have a feeling this isn't gonna be my only one :) this one was soooo cheap I couldn't pass it up.

I also have another 240Z guy that's local who is wanting to do a KA-T so we'll have to get together and buy some of your stuff!

How much boost can the stock head gasket handle?

Just picked up my KA - before I install it in my 240Z was wondering if I should change the head gasket?

Will it handle 14 psi with a good tune?

Got my S14 KA motor today!

Pretty psyched - found a local motor and 5 speed with low miles, NA headers and stage 2 clutch for a great deal! I will have it on Saturday! Got to hear it run and drive the car - runs good... it will be a good starting point for my 240Z project! The only issue is it's very slightly VERY slightly ha...

it sounds like you positioned the ring gaps correctly since you had good compression. something still is not measuring up. i might have to say you should shim the oil pump and use the xccesive oil pan with sr20 sump to make sure you are not losing pressure/running out of oil in the pickup with thos...

No its not big at all. Got to full races web site. They have the scoop on the efr series turbos. But they do come with a price tag. They have a boost solonid attached to the compressor housing and an integrated bov on the housing also thats recirculated. Instead of an inconel turbine shaft its made...

Man this is just what I was looking for! Some real world advise on this! THANKS!

How are the spool characteristics of the GT3076r if you upgrade the cams?

Once we find the perfect turbo, then I'd like to hear comments on the cams as well...

Much appreciated!

The Perfect Turbo?

Hey all, I know this really depends on a lot of things, but over the years experience and experimentation usually provides some interesting results. I'm curious to hear what you guys have determined is the best turbo with early spool, good power, reliability ect... My car will ALWAYS be a street car...
