efeezi, Ivan and myself have cracked blocks. I have seemed to do it with the least hp (139mph in a 3030lb race weight)

i would like to try another stock block but would hate to have to redo it again.

Sleeved block

well im starting to wonder just how strong these blocks are, after pulling my motor apart i have found that two of the jugs have hair line cracks. this took place at low 600whp at the track, the psitons seem fine. so it seems that a few of us have had this problem, what do do now is the question. I do...

looks like DIY sells them, just dont know if i want to run plug wires. 350z make 1200whp with stock coils... just dont know if they fit.

and using a CDI on the 350z can hurt them, my buddy with a turbo 350z says you see it all the time on the forums.

i just dont like the the idea of going coil on plug and still using wires.

we used LS1 coils on this 240SX with a 6262 and had some issues with break up.... now i dont know if this is because of bad wires or the wrong ls1 coils. but the MR2 with the 350z coils makes a clean 600whp with no cdi box

i have done a few big air to water setups... just dont know if i want to deal with the ice. i would like to run coils with no twin fire or dis4.... a mr2 we work on went 10.7 @ 130mph with just 350z coils no cdi box. and my block is already 11mm... but i worry about the threads pulling out.. infact ...

i like the coil setup... and the turbo

we are running 350Z coils on a MR2 here with no CDI box (twin fire,dis4,M&W) just stright off the AEM EMS.. with my old 35R he pulled a 10.7 today 130mph.. he is making 600whp and the spark does not break up at all.

Are you guys sure about not having enough meat if you tap out to 11mm? i would think the thread pitch of the 11mm would be the same as the 10mm... therefor you could only be making the threads deeper and the minor thread diameter of the 10mm would be smaller than the 11mm so there should be enough m...
