yep, theres two types of turbos that came in the z31 the t25 and the t3,,

this is my t3 z31 turbo on my ka24e



and i do think that they are the older z31 not sure though

s12 is wayyyyyy tooooooo smmaallllllllllllllllllllll its a t2, not even a t25 volvo is a good one but the t3 flange is different its circular, so my vote is the saab one it would be good for you, but if you can find a merkur xr4ti t3 turbo or a z31 t3 turbo , it would be better because they are bigger
