Re: Supakat's Thread
Time to set up speed or gear-based boost control, perhaps? Is that a possibility with MS? I plan on setting that up on mine if I ever reach the point where traction in lower gears is a big issue. I know some folks have used front wheel ABS sensors to do that, but I've been looking into the possibil...

haha...you nailed it adam. When I first drove it Monday, I had my bro in laws in the car with me. That is an extra 300lbs. She felt good but you could tell something was up and I was not impressed that much. Needless to say, I drove the car to work today and she is a different beast. As soon as I pr...

As and you shall receive...lol. Yea, I just say whatever on the vids. No editing, just raw vids. But here it goes, this wheel is something else I and I have the image to prove it lol. All around improvement but very noticeable on top after 5500. It is like VTEC hit! But proof shows that it starts sp...

Re: Supakat's Thread
I did some work this weekend. Weled up a pinhole on downpipe and covered my immaculate welds with black exhaust wrap. But the major thing was install the billet wheel. I know this turbo will wake up sooner now. Just curious on how she will respond. Should be able to finish up today and go for a test...

Re: Againt everything I've heard
Just watch your oil. If you change it after 1k miles and it is black, then try something else. But you are up north so 10/30 should work but airman spun 2 bearings with Mobil 1 10/30 and he is in NC. My brother ran the same oil in his B16 and the bore was worn down after 90k on the motor. The way I ...

Did you put both chain guides on for the head? My UEGO reads fine at idle. Yours is probably lean at idle. As long as she does not stutter or stall, I would not worry until the AEM gets in. The oil and gas will not have any ill effects. If anything, it probably cleaned up some gunk in the galleys.

Re: Supakat's Thread
I wasn't clear. Not the drain but basically the exit of hot water goes to a pvc pipe that throws the water to a place that can drain so your not standing in a puddle. The radiator is not hooked up to any rad hoses.

So there gasket is paper? You should install dry but I like my shellac compound or rtv/copper spray. I say hit helps fill any voids that the gasket cannot fill. To each their own but you will be fine. No, that is how I break in my motors. Lets the rings seat. I also run cold water into the engine an...

Just a little update. The vid says it all but in a nut shell, I saw a bike run pass me, put in high boost and hit 30+ psi with 10.0AFRs, Everything fine, after 10 min, Put in low boost and hit 2nd, Blow a free plug out the block again, Issue looks like intake thermal gasket with coolant port and cyl...

Re: Supakat's Thread
Basically, I use the map for deleanment. Low load high rpm means less fuel and advance timing. Then as it gets close to idle, blend it in. As for first gear, I start to roll then mash the gas and see what happens. I use VE live but also tweak myself manually to get the results I want faster rather t...

Re: 502whp/ 428ft/lb 22psi
Why do people always put down the ka saying rev happy. Stock valve train no but if you have dual springs, light buckets, etc. with cams and the most important key an ATI dampener, you can hit 8500 safely. Even 8k is nice. I rev to 7200 with stock valvetrain and Crower 264's. Don't limit yourself.

Re: Supakat's Thread
I did some more tuning in 1st for take off and decel enleanment. I was able to make a WOT pull and have the idle sit right back at 1k when throwing into neutral or pressing the clutch to slow down. I made 1st gear more driveable in terms of taking off. The accel enrichment is good but after the shor...

Re: Supakat's Thread
No loss. I picked up spool. Probably like 300. I think since the runners are longer, it allows for the violent combustion to calm down before it exits the dump tube.

Re: 502whp/ 428ft/lb 22psi
Most likely due to the retard timing. The fuel is burning in turbine which is spinning up the wheel just like 2step/anti lag operation. Eventually you will need a 20psi spring. Turning up the boost to 30psi requires a stronger base spring. If not, then you cannot control high boost correctly and rea...

Safe measure is Felpro good for 500whp. Others have pushed more but your tuning better be on point. Go with Cosworth or Cometic if you can't find Cosworth.

Re: Supakat's Thread
Thanks. I got my injectors Thursday afternoon and was sneezing by 8pm. This manifold unlocked some power overall through the whole power band but noticeably on top. I drove her to work Friday then Saturday night, my wife and I went to go for a ride like little kids again and get some food. A BMW 335...

Yup take your time and make sure everything is good before driving. See if someone can give you a good base map so you can drive to dyno and make sure all is well before you go dyno.

Re: Supakat's Thread
So I finally got her done. But the downside, is that my injector is acting up. Bought a set of injectors last night and should be here Friday. Can't wait to see whats up. I did notice the turbo spinning much longer after I turn off the car. Guess that extra piping is holding in some air. Also, I dro...
