Re: A TRUE race bearing for the KA FINALLY!!!
Yes, Main and Rod bearings. I ordered mine thru Alamo Auto Sports and gave him to part numbers. I will try to find the part numbers for and post them but my part numbers are for standard size. I had to speak to the engineers to get the part numbers because they are so new. Are we talking about both ...

A TRUE race bearing for the KA FINALLY!!!
King Bearing has a tri metal race bearing finally. I spoke to King Bearing over a year ago and was told King Bearing was working on a race bearing but it was still in development at that time. I called recently and was made aware the race bearing was released and I ordered them. Just wanted others t...

Re: Material in coolant
could be debris in the cooling system from previous motor. What head gasket are you running? If MLS then pull some coolant out and make sure it isn't black flaky stuff. IF you are running paper make sure it isn't grey paper flaky stuff in your coolant. If so and your motor is still okay I would back...

That sounds like a very weak coil or bad ground or voltage supply to the coil.

It's load problem. So gearing and horse power are the contributing factors. I've thought about the problem and working on a solution when I get a chance. I will report back when get everything fabricated together

Re: Mazworx z32 trans swap users help needed.
I hate to bring back an old thread however I am having the same problem as BoBack with my Z32 Mazworx swap. My clutch pedal does the EXACT same thing as BoBack. I'm starting to wonder if the Z32 tranny swap has a clearance issue BUT I'm not sure about that because If I turn the boost down to 14psi I...

Its nice to see the old site. I believe it helped draw a lot of people to the site. I believe it will again considering most forums have nothing like it. The cars do need to be updated at this point but great start.

Re: ACL Race bearings still available?
King Bearings are really good bearings. I would definitely better than Clevites. They are the lowest quality between the three IMO.
King has a 3/4 groove main bearing set that is supposed to be released soon for the KA motor which I am very interested in.

I did the z32 trans swap along with rear axle and diff axle ratio change and love it! Well worth the effort and money. No more worries about breaking stock tranny's anymore. The flex fuel Is very nice, no more over priced race gas.

Re: Duron's $$$ at Work
I have the baller 2G smoke machine. Works great for so many applications. Yea, most of these guys doing those wire tucks are rookies that know nothing about circuits. My was flawless and only had to lengthen 2 or 3 wires. That was it. Then simply secure the harness and reroute it were it doesn't rub...

Re: overheating, only during high boost
All I'm saying is from my experience too much exhaust back pressure on a boosted engine will always make you more susceptible to knock and the ka engine is easier than others (2JZ, etc...) That's all I'm saying. What boost are you pushing? What fuel Pump gas, race gas, E-85?

Re: overheating, only during high boost
It will if that turbo is too small on the exhaust side. My torque was in the 500's but I made 572TQ on the stock intake. I run a 1 a/r turbine housing tho. If you can build 10 psi just reving the motor the. That means you can spoil the turbo almost instantly. Not good for a 2.4L with a long stroke t...

Re: overheating, only during high boost
Do yourself a big favor and check the complete head thickness so you know how much the head has been shaved. Factory head height is 4.972-4.980. That way if you need to get a thicker head gasket to keep stock compression you will be good. Also, you will need to prep both surfaces to a mirror finish ...

Just run a tank of super every once in a while and that clears the gunk right off.

I may have found a virgin OEM head for a fraction of the cost so I'm holding out on that one. If it falls through then I will order the lower torque

Re: 2nd time around
If you want to make more power then there will be a little sacrifice for spool but what are 200 or 300 Rpm later in spool? It's nothing when you race you don't race at 3k rpms, you are already in the powerband which gives you instant boost. Since you are on a T3/T4 hybrid then you can simply advance...

Great! one of the best changes I ever made to the car. I love E85 over race gas! $1.79 per gallon over $14. You do the math and see how quickly it adds up. lol

Re: nismo oil pressure spring set??
All you have to do is shim the factory oil pump spring 3mm worth of washers and you will get similar results. I did it with 3 washers that equaled 3mm thick.

Yea it's nice, isn't it? I love just hearing my turbo over wastegate. My first turbo kit was like that and after a few years of that noise, I make sure my turbo setup is routed back in to the down pipe.
