The shimless buckets are 7.88mm thick. Most ka's require a bucket height of around 5-5.5mm. I use a cnc lathe to machine the underside of the buckets. The buckets are very hard, so it takes special ceramic tooling. I've done several ka's with this setup. It is sweet. Total cost of $600.

I'll bet that is not the manifold you will get. That is a burn's collector and they go for $500 plus.

Id run a powerglide with a low first gear before Id run a c4. With the right convertor, the powerglide will be quicker at your HP levels. I've swapped 2 turbo mustangs (one 2.3, one 347) from 3 speeds to powerglides. Both picked up ET. ive thought that a pglide would be awesome for a drag set up bu...

Replace the pcv box with a block off plate, tap and pipe plug the 4 ports under the intake and put A filter on the valve cover. Every ka I build leaves the shop like this. Catch cans are for wore out motors.

A good clutch and sticky tires will kill a stock trans at the drag strip. Does not matter how much power you make. I've twisted off several output shafts with 200whp.

They are the DLC coated cam followers from the VQ35HR. They are actually used on several different Nissan engines. They are not a direct fir for the KA, machining is required. Still cheaper than the Supertech set up. They are $18.76 from Nissan, and the Supertechs are about $26.00 with shims. Plus t...

Glad to see you back on it!! :D :D :D Did you change the crank trigger because of the Haltech or did you have problems with your original setup? I was running the stock cas with a 12 window wheel. It worked fine, but with all of the valve train "noise" picked up thru the chain, the timing...

Updates to my car

It has been a couple of years since I've had the car out, but I have been slowly working on it. I swapped over to a Haltech Sport 2000 and Racepak dash, added a crank trigger, swapped the valve buckets to shimless DLC coated, added a new throttle body and charge pipe. http://i181.photobucket.com/alb...
