Back in 97, I bought seats from a s14 that was totaled with 900 miles on it. Also the engine, trans, and other good stuff.

Mazworxs was running very small tires with a IRS. I used to run a Tremec TKO, and 3rd gear would not hold up. That is why I went with a Lenco. A 4 link with big slicks will kill any OEM 5 speed. The only way to make a 5 speed survive is with a slipper style clutch.

With gears and a 500 shot it will put it on the bumper. I'll get my s13 to the track in a couple of weeks. Quite a few changes for this year.

9.55 @147 shakedown pass

Little video of a 10.5 car we put together. 434ci chevy, full street car. Had to add 325lbs of lead to make minimum weight. Car is real lazy with the 3.70 gears and only 150 shot. Switching to 4.90 gears and adding a little more nitrous. Should run deep in the 8's next time out. http://s266.photobuc...

The z32 5 speed will not hold up to big slicks. Powerglide would be the best option.

Look at how it is designed. The OD is too big, it hits the side of the valve cover before the o-ring seats. You can chuck it up in a lathe and turn it down a little.

The ross runners do match up well at the head, but they have less cross sectional area than the stock runners at the plenum. I'm looking at switching to E85 and adding an intercooler.

One thing that has been bugging me. The Ross intake runners are smaller than stock. Did you notice that? I wonder how much performance could be lost? Wilson has nice runners that I'm looking at, but they are $300 each! I wonder what GATO uses? I thought about splitting the Ross runners and adding ma...

It is not a easy job to do right. I would buy new parts, because trying to cut out spot welds to reuse old stuff is tough to do without damaging them. I guess it just depends on how picky you are. I've seen it done as good as oem, but most of the time it is a hacked up mess.

This is what I've been trying to tell everyone for years. No cams "drop in" Don't think that just because his Kelfords degree this way, yours may not. All cams must be degreed.
