the hose that is pictured under your throttle body is a vacuum for the idle air control and the air regulator for the cold start i was having the same issues when you hook it up make sure you reset your computer

first check the oil level, then check the oil sensor make sure that it is clipped in an tight. located next to the oil filter if you didn't know then if that okay drop the oil pump and make sure that is was primed when its was put on you will know as soon as you undo the four bolts holding it in if ...

all done got the plugs wires and everything all buttoned up and timed it yesterday runs good and pulls good for a 150k motor from what i could tell the original engine was already swapped before i bought the car and the engine out of my parts car was the original because everything was still properl...

another thing that i have noticed is that if you did a recent timing chain on the car make sure that you put seals between the timing cover and the block it is a separate kit that you can get when you buy your timing kit for like 15 bux its cheap but a necessity

the 96-97 d21 pickups were switched to ODBII so stay away from them, you will want a 90-95 ka24e or de whatever suits you best

update

yeah well it was worse than i thought check all the seals and buttoned everything up down low but still got low oil pressure and now it knocking so out with this engine and tranny and the five speed swap from my parts car should be up and running by early next week waiting for intake manifold gasket...

was there something wrong with your trans you can use the stock one from your truck and it should work just fine saves you some time and some money
