Then loosened the little bolts 10mm all the way off and put them in a jar. Then used a gear puller I purchased for $30 CAD at canadian tire. I then a...

I wish the nerds that understood this stuff would talk about it more. Seems like when they do figure out the problem, they never post out what they did for the build, and the numbers they imput.

For the head, Just by looking at it, I believe all I have to do is remove the timing chain off the cam gear. btw, I own a digital SLR camera, and have taken about 50 pictures of this tear down. Figure I'll do a writeup sometime th...

I learn by doing. I'll be back on here when I'm putting it back together though :)

The search engine here is full of a bunch of newbie questions but not as many newbie answers. To remove the head I have to Remove valve cover, Remove spark plugs, Remove front cover, Remove timing chain, Remove cam then remove head studs? in that order more or less? NOTE TO NEWBIES: Make sure when y...

I have a headache

I'd like to know what people have for Headwork and fuel delivery that had issues with any piston 'blowing', also, what was the boost level, ect. Things happen for different reasons. This seems like an old wives tail.

Honestly, I'd befriend a welder, or just go to a muffler shop. Its a half hour fix in the hands of someone that does it on a day-to-day basis. Thats just me, I hate working with exhausts, so annoying.

One way to isolate where its coming from is wait till its a dry day, then take a hose, and run it over a specific area of the car first, starting low, and going up. You'll find it.

Well, you shouldn't be able to smell fuel. Check your lines, make sure everything is secure, also you should hear your fuel pump prime (what dude above me said) before you attempt to start it over. Is the starter even trying to turn it over? plug leads going to the correct plugs? Make sure you updat...

so the issue is relocating the battery or cutting holes for the FMIC. With relocation of a battery, just go to an auto-wrecker and get some used wires in good condition, wire cutters ect, and extend the connections from your battery as needed. If you really wanted to get creative, you can use this t...

On my build, and in my opinion, I wouldnt run a blanket on my turbo. I'd rather heat shield and channel airflow around the turbo. I use to be into computers, and over-clocking cpu's, and the easiest way to cool was airflow. BTW, besides wires, I think the only thing you really have to worry about wi...
