It's 2020 bro, gps based or bust!
Mind you, I did that gauge cluster like 8 years or so back.
Everything still works flawlessly ...speedhut stuff is great, lifetime warranty is nice too.

Imma see how it looks after a few years on the used market...Also I hope they make significant improvements to the chassis , last thing we need is another q60 in disguise.

Re: CC White bunny throw out bearing
Touches, I just rather grind a little material off the shifter itself than scuff up my nice trim. And yes , the sheer size and weight of the tranny def gives me confidence to bang some shifts....can't wait to test it out when I get back to fl.

What you fellas think? Personally I'm not a big fan of the front end, but I must give nissan credit for developing this vehicle 100% on their own. The fact that it has a manual transmission is shocking and welcomed. I doubt it will be a supra fighter just based on the transmission but at least it sh...

Re: Importdudes' Build thread
We all preach to do it once and do it right the first time....but we all say that now because we made the same mistakes in the past. Only time I don't spend money on quality parts now is because I can afford to play with cheaper stuff just to see if it's any good....but it comes at the cost of more ...

Re: CC White bunny throw out bearing
Sorry I was driving from FL to Cali. I do have xcessive lowering mount brackets and gk tech urethane mounts. Mine are not slotted. I actually like the shifter placement, the only problem for me is that it slightly hits the left side shifter plastic boot trim...if you do slide your motor forward you ...

Re: CC White bunny throw out bearing
Lol yea I swapped the 3" aluminum shaft, j30 vlsd + axles on day one like 12 years ago when I bought the car....it was an auto so I figured I'd do the entire drivetrain one shot when swapped in the manual tranny.....good times... Paid $150 for a sr20 trans, $90 for a j30 diff and axles and $260...

That's a solid powerband, pretty much what I'm looking for....I'm gonna try with my cheap obx manifold first and also my hx35 with .63 rear end.....won't be surprised if I can't flow enough to get there tho.

Re: Hitting a wall at 4500rpm [SOLVED]
Glad you got it sorted... As for your timing, .look at a full ignition timing map for stock ka24de.....IIRC it commands somewhere around 28 to 30 degrees of timing in the higher rpm/ high load section for NA setup. That's where you start to pull 1 degree for every psi of boost you make for a ball pa...

I didn't get the xcessive kit because I don't like the idea of using a flywheel spacer....also I've never heard of anyone having any serious issues with the mazworx kit.....same can't be said for the xcessive kit....I think I read one of our guys on here found his bellhousing and adapter plate separ...

Re: Hitting a wall at 4500rpm
Is that a typo where you said you are retarding one degree per psi but yet you posted 15 degrees for 5 psi?? If that means your running 10 degrees at 10 psi.... Your ignition timing is extremely retarded. When I'm doing a ballpark tune for low boost on the street to get my fuel maps right, I pull on...

Running 215 w tires is your best bet 🤣.... When I first got my s14 money was tight, I had infiniti g35 wheels and all season tires....they won't hook up for **** so couldn't really kill the tranny. My 245 federals is a different story. Shifter install coming later.... Pretty bummed mazworx said the ...

Was told to use the ka bearing sleeve with z32 TOB.....bolted up that beast of a gearbox today , man mazworx makes some quality stuff. Re: Best T3 manifold for the money?
Well now that my new gktech poly bushes have settled, the oil pan is resting on the cross member, no fault of gktech...it's the xcessive lowering mounts. I'm going to try shim 1/8 of an inch and if that doesn't give me a gap , 1/4". The sucky part is that I just finished fabbing my entire turbo...

Re: CC White bunny throw out bearing
Interesting convo with competition clutch, they said either bearing will work fine and that the thickness isn't as big a deal as it being the correct diameter...I guess they must know that there's enough adjustment in the pedal to compensate for the thickness differences....so I'm gonna use the new ...

CC White bunny throw out bearing
Ok so I just blew my 3rd ka tranny, finally bought the mazworx ka to vg kit. I'm currently running competition clutch"s white bunny 6 puck kit and I'd like to use a fresh TOB... Now I searched and didn't really find a single definitive answer here about what throw out bearing exactly is used in...

Not gonna lie, I just skimmed the thread so you'd be rightful to yell at me if this was already discussed. Have you tried using the exhaust as a scavenge to pull out crank case pressure? I'm trying to decide what would give me more vacuum....pre turbo or exhaust. Obviously preturbo with the catch ca...

Well I took alot into account before making my decision...I was a dumbass a few years back....found a pristine rb25 trans for $450....bought it to keep for a rainy day..then my cousin in South America asked if he could buy it because he needed one for a build..I gave it to him for cost.....now that ...

Re: Never ends
Well the trans is shot....the flywheel, clutch and throw out bearing seems fine....I believe the noise I was initially hearing a few weeks back could have been countershaft bearing. Probably didn't help but I think it was unrelated to my failure. Hard 2nd to 3rd shift with the power and wide rear wh...

Thanks, I was looking for a good bushing and bearing since I'm gonna change it out regardless....so long as my tranny is ok...I'd be happy...cause I realize now that ka/sr20 tranny's aren't selling for $250 any more....I'll tackle the job hopefully in a day or 2 and I'll post an update on the carnage.
