Re: Turbo Blanket...effective?
I have both, and they do the job. A turbo blanket does reduce the heat coming off the turbo by a significant amount. nd don't spend 100$ on a bmc shield, its just a piece of metal. You can get one on eBay for 40$ or something. Both of those together should be more than sufficient in protecting your...

How about this idea... Stop using your phone. Take the time to rewrite everything you wrote so far with clarity and detail and proper english. Then we move forward.

That looks like a bad first draft of a message that was written to ask for help. You should edit it so it has clarity, detail, and punctuation that conveys the information you want us to understand. You will have a hard time getting help if people can't understand what you're saying. This is what I ...

Re: Enthalpy tune for 50lb Injectors
Your injectors will probably have a different latency.
If the tune wasn't originally made for you (like you bought it or something), you need to have it retuned by Enthalpy for the new conditions you have. Anything otherwise would be completely foolish.

hate to be the guy to tell you that Nistune sells an S14 setup....
You probably have to use some S13 hardware like the MAFS.

I'll step in and say all I have really heard about ID 1000/2000cc squirters is trouble. It does seem like people on oem ecu have the most issues. So just be aware its a known issue :( Thank you. To be clear. Two people that I specifically tried to help learn how to tune had the EXACT SAME issues wi...

I don't care to analyze the post, but I will comment that people have issues with those injectors. I've come to where I will refuse to help people tune if they have them now because they've been a common factor among people who can't seem to get reliable basic AFRs -- they seem to be inconsistent or...

So to be clear, your maptrace going to the TP column value 99 was while doing a 16.5psi pull on your TDO5 20G turbo, KA24DET with 550cc injectors and a blow through coldside mounted MAFS? Please don't make me deduce this stuff. Tell me the story with all of the relevant points connected and hopefull...
Well the good thing is that s14's are starting to take the place of the s13 as the cheap drift car of choise. Too many s13's are just torn up and abused from owners who think they're drift master jdm tyte sliderzz yo. So now you can grab and s14 for the same price as the s13's were a few years ago,...

Such high goals should NOT be skimped in the tuning area. The AEM FIC is not going to be good enough to honor your parts. Get the AEM EMS, megasquirt, haltech, autronic, etc... I wouldn't do a Nistune since with MAFS you won't really want to go over 20psi, but I can bet you that once you hit 20 psi,...

R34SR, from what I have heard, the street tuning runs cooler because you have tens of thousands of cubic feet of air flowing past the motor, whereas the fan is actually pretty weak. But what you also have on the street is variable load. Hills, bumps, fat passengers, corners -- you name it. Things ar...

If you have changed any hardware at all, you need to recalibrate the background engine noise. This was essential for the TurboXS Knock Lite. If you changed even a small thing, the background would be tweaked some and so you should always recalibrate. Also, are your AFR still rich enough? Also, can y...

What I can say is this... you will have probably 100-200 hours of your life devoted to learning how to tune, tuning theory, and working/testing/fiddling on your car, before you will have a solid tune. You could go earn probably 1000-2000 dollars in that time and pay a professional. You could learn a...
It is very hard to find an unmolested 240. Most have had the hands of idiots and the experience/body-damage of a horrible Initial D fan. I have a friend that overpaid for an original owner 97 240 with under 80k miles on it because it is a great car. Still is. If you want something nice, prepare to p...

Just wanted to post a quick reply here. I was less than 30 minutes from buying an eBay ECU from REFLASHPROS when I stumbled across this thread. DW might as well be 'real injectors'. Call them up and inquire about their process. There is a reason they cost more than the redrill people but less than Nismo. If I recall, they use very fine technology and then do spray pattern and atomization tests along with flow rate. Give them a call and tell...

Deatschwerks does great injector service! Call them up, tell them its their own product and such and you'll probably get a nice discounted rate. When I've dealt with them, I usually send the rail and have them mount the injectors before returning (they might charge you a couple bucks for the rings, ...
