I'd go with air to air on that setup. Lighter, simpler, and it's not like a 240SX has the sorts of airflow issues or oddball packaging that would make a FMIC difficult to install.diegs88 wrote:its gonna be for street use/dd somewhat not alot and drifting mainly no drag really

We're running one on an MR2, where an air to air isn't all that practical. Compared to a FMIC, it tends to heat soak a bit - though it's better than sticking an air to air cooler in the engine compartment on a mid engined car. For a drag car, this isn't so much of a liability, and you can add an ice...

While that should be OK on gasoline, E85 needs more fuel volume. We sell pumps from SX Performance with protective anodized coatings to avoid any corrosion from ethanol (or even methanol) if you'd be interested in a pump designed specifically for this. What boost pressure will you be running? With f...

Re: The Centrifugal Supercharger
Okay so I've been looking at supercharging my car for awhile now and i can't seem to find any reason not to build it using a Centrifugal Superchager if I were to only be running 8 to 10 psi. I'm looking for it to be a sleeper so that the local law enforcement doesent hassel me and for a supprised f...

We have a Spec Stage 3 on the shop Miata. It doesn't slip even with two and a half times the stock power output. On the down side, it isn't the most streetable clutch, especially before you break it in. And it wears out a bit quickly - though chances are it would last longer with our combination of ...

AEM UEGO wideband. i dont think it could be the wideband, because its brand new, something to do with fuel management. Just wanted to check. One thing about AEMs is that 10.0 is the lowest they'll read, from what I've heard, so you may have actually leaned it out from the 8's to the 11's. A backfir...

We're just off the intersection of Buford Highway and McGinnis Ferry Rd. Click here for the map, and feel free to stop by during normal business hours.
I'll have to check out the 240Atlanta site.

Walbro GSL392 pumps for $109.99, and SX Performance fuel sys
Just wanted to let you know that DIYAutoTune.com is now selling fuel pumps, adjustable fuel pressure regulators, and racing fuel filters. . We've chosen to carry two different brands of pumps. They're both external mount designs intended to feed very high powered engines. Walbro is pretty well known...

what should I go with for hot and cold side for a T3/T4 turbo. Also does anyone know anything about a 79 mustang turbo from a 2.3, would it be efficient enough to make at least 300whp with the parts listed. I'd use one for a 200 hp buildup, especially at that price. For 300 hp? Well, you did say yo...

I've driven a C4 Corvette in the snow before - on bald tires. A little bit nerve wracking, but hardly my scariest driving experience. I've got a Honda as my everyday beater and it can hold its own on an autocross course. It's a bit more forgiving of boneheaded moves in a race than the C4 Corvette, m...

MAP sensors give a 0 to 5 volt signal like a MAF, so if Calum or Nistune can allow enough rescaling of the tables, such a thing might work. But that's a big if; I'd wait to see if any of the Nissan ECU guys have any experience with such a thing. Often drastic rewrites of a stock ECU's rules are not ...

We build standalone ECUs that work on 240SXs and use a MAP sensor as standard equipment. They are a bit more work to set up than an ECU hack, but also allow for more flexibility. We have an article on how to set up our system on a 240SX here: http://www.diyautotune.com/tech_articles/how_to_megasquir...

yeah i am only using the wire for the ingition, (90* slit) i did not tap or intercept the one for injectors (1* slit) The distinction isn't quite that clean cut. It appears the ECU uses both of them for cylinder identification, working together, as well as for a general timing signal that controls ...
