Re: Guess the motor.

Fuel pump location.
Dizzy location,
valve covers,

Big thing is in 55 it was the first year to not have the block involve the transmission housing...so it could be clamped to all kinds of fun stuff. Also a little bore could make it a 354 hemi. I learned a lot with this little project.

I like your vacuum distribution mounting bracket. Makes me want to clean up my engine bay with some ingenuity also! :P Thank you! I will probably be improving on that as well. Re: National KA meet possibilities and interest

I am very sorry people for my lack of responses and interest. Just when I thought I might be settled I have applied and await another move and job change. Way too many too soon so if somebody is willing to carry the torch let it be. I'll still be around, but I've been thrown other obstacles.

Most likely and possibly more damage. Too aggressive of an ignition map might be at fault. Were you monitoring AFR's?

PS. Welcome!

Re: I shall call it...MarVert.

looking sick! What boost setup are you looking to throw at her? I think the auto will stay there for now. I have a big 16g'ish turbonetics BB turbo laying around. I have to find numbers on it to figure out what it really is. Once I get the welder up and going I'll probably make a manifold, exhaust,...

Re: I shall call it...MarVert.

Ole MarVert got a bath today. Lots of TLC on the door strikers, alignment, and some suspension work today. The little stuff takes a lot of time; However, It seems to be getting more and more likely to be the next boosted in my line-up. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/Marcus240sx/IMG_20130908...

Re: NA KA24DE///

What about this fellow? I chatted with him off and on in the past when building up my '93 Altima. He ran a turbo with big low rpm tq (3-400lbft at or below 3k rpm IIRC) for road racing but then went full NA. He seems to feel the IM and cams are the only thing holding the KA from getting above 170wh...

Welcome! I'll hold your beer. I'd test all your piping. Also test the mating surfaces on the mani/turbo for leaks.

Any more details on the setup?

PS love the rims.

What brand are those ID1000's grommet adapters to the Intake "bushings" that you have there? I could use a set.

Check the MAFS for correct response. Check the MAFS for correct grounds and such like shift said. Ok just assume the MAFS is a problem and eliminate the culprits.

I didn't use fel-pro's, but I did use oem new head bolts on my last t3/to4e setup at 16-18 psi.

I don't know where the fel-pro's are made however. Hate for it to be quality on par with the american/mexican replacement timing components.

Nice man! while you have the housing off that transmission replace that output shaft bearing down from the speedo gear. Atleast SKF or better.. hopefully better. Prominently the most worn bearing on our 240's (atleast from the 5 or so tranny's I've been through) and so easy to replace. Excited to se...

Re: Camshaft lobe damage

It is weird that it's only one valve. Thus I'd be leaning more towards a bent valve, valve guide issue, etc. Looking for a reason to why that lobe would strain so much.
