My interstate speed is 65-75. My rpm is 2800-3000 and feels like I need a 6th gear. I think my 1 piece aluminum drive shaft plays a role. Will a j30 diff lower my rpm and possibly give better gas mileage?

I saw some threads where guys used sr injectors and a walboro pump and worked fine. But above 65mph the computer couldn't adjust anymore and the cars didn't run good. so 65mph and under should be fine according to the posts i read.

WEll got a fresh build. drove the car for 2 days and my exhaust cam broke in two at an oil journal. The front part still turns while the car is crunk. got the timing and head done due to a bad head gasket. what went wrong?
