You are lucky the dyno broke....

My car broke on the WAY to the dyno...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that was the 1st time EVER going to the dyno after 2ys of boosting at 15 psi...!!!!!

Talk about bad luck..!!

Is There ANY POSSIBLE way to remove the flywheel bolts by Myself...?? I did one method and i was able to break off 2 of the bolts off the flywheel but the others are still too tight..!!! What I did was pull the engine lift out and attach it to the motor and kinda lifted the motor up but not off the ...

Well these are NOT new parts... They are comming off my damaged motor and going ONTO my spare ka motor..

Changing out Clutch, flywheel and pulley...

The motor that its going on has 88k miles.. Am i gonna need a new throw out bearing, pilot bushing and the front main seal or will the existing ones work fine.???

I looked up at Boost Designs web site and they offer built motors.. Has anyone purchased a built motor from them or have sent off their motor to get built..?? What I did was use a long chain and run one side between the 2 upper MIddle intake runners and the other side of the chain i brought it down to the actual motor mount on the block...

Ive done this over 6 times with ZERO problems..!!

Ive got the newest NISMO 555cc injectors which were FLOW tested to 615cc (according to jwt).
How much rwhp can i get out of these injectors..??

I got the intake manifold off, Exhaust manifold with turbo off, valve cover is off and cams r next on the list.
What else is needed to lift this head off the block...

Well now that the motor is out and im worn tired... I have to find the WILL to wana break this motor apart and see what damage has been done. Im just so tired of this engine swapping that its got me to the point that I just wana give up and sell it all.. Oh well, one of these days i will get started...

I had the 232/232 cam setup in my s14, went to the 248/248 setup and it was a NICE gain.... prob about solid 10 rwhp
However, my top end still felt like it was dieing off past 5k rpm..

I was wondering on an average, how much hp is expected to be gained if i went from the stock 232/232 cams to the 248/248 cam setup on our ka-t motor...??

I was told that it was a solid 10 rwhp increase on a N/A ka motor... Does this also hold true for the turbo ka or not..??

How Much Boost can a motor with a Cracked Ring Land Take? It will take as much boost as i give it...... But the obvious is... how long will it hold up. Im not trying to ask dumb questions, cause there are plenty of people out there that have ran into this problem and they CONTINUED to boost the hell...

Well, let me ask u guys this question... Should I just leave the 248/248 setup in there now or should i do the 232 intake and 248 exhaust..?? Will that make this motor feel like its gaining more top end power as the rpm's increase..??

Well as we have figured out that my ring land on the # 4 piston has cracked... The compression checked out to be 90 psi, and then 130 psi once i dropped in a bit of oil... How long do u think this motor will hold up at 15 psi..?? Or should I keep it down to 10 psi and under..?? I have a spare ka mot...

What Piston do u guys recommend..??

Ok guys, its been narrowed down to a Blown Piston Ring on the # 4 piston. Im still not sure what failed and caused this ring to crack, but Duncan351 seems to think that the motor went lean due to boost spike & That is what usually causes the rings to go bad... OK: I re-did it correctly this time. Motor was warmed up, went WOT while cranking for compression test:

#1 165
#2 180
#3 185
#4 100

I then dropped in a cap full of oil into #4 and it went UP to 130....

Well, time for a complete rebuild with forged internals..!!
