HP gains from cam upgrade...
I was wondering on an average, how much hp is expected to be gained if i went from the stock 232/232 cams to the 248/248 cam setup on our ka-t motor...??
I was told that it was a solid 10 rwhp increase on a N/A ka motor... Does this also hold true for the turbo ka or not..??

No, i have the greddy profec b spec II. Ive had this for over 6 months with no spikes and no creeps. Im not 100 % sure if it WAS in FACT a boost spike that caused this ring land to crack, but everyone is saying that the ka oem ring lands crack due to detonation. Now that could be the ecu going lean,...

Ok, as most of us all know that on the way to the dyno a couple of weeks ago, my boost controller spiked to 25+ psi thus cracking my # 4 piston ring land. Well, this motor now has to come out for repairs. I have another 88k mile ka motor sitting in my garage that i wana drop into the car in the mean...

Im not trying to ask dumb questions, cause there are plenty of people out there that have ran into this problem and they CONTINUED to boost the hell...

How long do u think this motor will hold up at 15 psi..?? Or should I keep it down to 10 psi and under..?? I have a spare ka mot...

Ok guys, its been narrowed down to a Blown Piston Ring on the # 4 piston. Im still not sure what failed and caused this ring to crack, but Duncan351 seems to think that the motor went lean due to boost spike & That is what usually causes the rings to go bad... At this point i do and dont care ab...
