hmm, it's hard to tell what's going on with your setup with all the million hoses running in and out...but from what I can tell, here are some suggestions: Connect a hose directly from the supercharger actuator/bypass valve to the little bung/nipple on your intake pipe (between the throttle body and...

Well i got the cold pipe done and mounted. I adjusted the throttle tension to adjust my idle since i got rid of my iacv. The q45 and ka tps sensor are the same but for some reason it was reading backwards on aem ( full throttle was 0% and vice versa) so i had to rewire it. Yeah it's because the Q45...

Re: i think the scb actuator is bad
so after installing s/c, then fixing all the leaks, then replacing a distributor(which went bad) the car is running good. except the vacuum being at 12in... before i put it on the scb actuator was hard to move. but now it stays full open at idle then when i close it by hand my vacuum goes up to 16-...

Adam, yeah the supercharger is outputting some heat within the air stream going into the head ports/combustion chamber, but it shouldn't be as much heat conduction through alloys as much as a turbo/manifold combination is. Are you using one of the thermal gaskets in between the head and the upper ru...

Hey ryan you should post up pics of your TB so we can see what all you removed. I've looked into this but really couldn't find any info on it. Hell do a tutorial while your at it =) Here's some photos of the Q45 T/B with all the crap removed on both of my S14's. http://www.ka24der.com/images/galler...

Best of luck to you. It's good to see more support for boosted KA stuff! My only suggestion is that you get a base tune for your recommended setup. Maybe for a Nissan ECU and an AEM and you can distribute to customers or sell as an option. It's easy for customers to get a hold of parts but when it ...

gonna be straight nasty! I bet the Xcessive intake manifold will work damn good for what you are doing...do a before/after dyno with the velocity stack insert in and removed...I got a feeling that you'll be better off without it at the boost level you'll be pushing the car (those things are more for...

you'll probably end up needing a little bit bigger turbo to run 10.5 sec ET...maybe go with something in the range of 61-67mm and lag shouldn't be bad at all and will make it easier on achieving that goal. As far as intercoolers go, honestly at that power level and the required boost level to achiev...

a small to mid frame turbo (like GT3071R or something in the 54mm range) and lots of boost on stock s13 cams will do it...but you'll probably want forged rods/pistons in order to achieve that reliably. Definitely do it on a twin scroll manifold (like Full Race's) or look into Sound Performance's QSV...

are you both using the coolant hardlines on the TB or not? I believe the Q45 TB's have an integrated idle control strategy built into them using a wax pellet that closes/melts depending on the coolant temperature passing through...so essentially when coolant temps are cold, the wax allows some air t...

Re: Q45 TB tuning
If you still have the AAC valve hooked up and it's working correctly, then your idle speed should be adjusted and dynamically controlled with the little adjustment screw on the valve assembly, not the throttle stop. Adjusting the throttle stop to set the idle speed is only for cars without an AAC va...
