My S14 used to do this also, 3k was the mark. Thought it was oil pressure related but after installing a gauge I began to think otherwise. Ended up just driving the piss out of it for another year and selling it.

Just in case you try to remove your EGR setup like I did... you may have to reduce fuel at idle by almost 30% in order to not kill innocent bystanders at stop lights. Judging by my AFR's, steady in the 10's, I should have just thrown an EBay turbo kit on it and rolled out. Or 4 more cylinders... LoL

The opening of the stock bumper is somewhat irrelevant (sp?). As far as I have seen, any front mount will require you to cut and mod the bumper before you have any chance of fitting it in there without gouging the IC.

Chrome is weak-sauce unless it is a wheel lip or a muffler tip. Oh yeah, and rivet heads.

That valvecover as it sits is just like the raising of the flag memorial statue that we have all seen a thousand times. A pristine and clean American flag in the middle of a totally burned and destroyed warzone. Kinda heartwarming to see it in a dirty bay if you ask me. Gives it that authentic feeli...

I have heard nothing but bad reviews on Spec clutches until now. Does anyone know if they changed their setups or something? Exedy on a KA is crap if you ask me. I had an Exedy on my S14 and it went to crap 6 months after the break-in was finished. I never tracked it and never drifted on it either. ...

The airbrushing looks really clean up close.
But for the sake of the owner, keep that Vette away from hot water. It may swell.

Would you like some soy sauce with that sir?

Electrical issue when I try to start the car...

Last week just before my ignition locked up I had an issue with the electronics in the car shutting off when I tried to turn the key, I wasn't able to address it until now because I had to order a new ignition assembly. Here is the deal... :dunno: When I turn the key to accessory everything seems to...

I don't think passing the SMOG test is even a possibility for a KA-T in Cali. Maybe you know a relative in a more lenient state that will let you live with them?

Cam gears failing, chain breaking, being a dumbass and allowing your motor to go to **** due to lack of preventive maintenance. This list can keep going, look on JDS Performances site and download an FSM for the vehicle so you have a good base to work with for repairs.

If the tranny shifts fine and the body is in good shape then yes $500 is a good deal. Download an FSM and get to working on that timing chain issue. Be prepared to dump money into the car every month though, I can't stop spending money on mine yet. Really nothing wrong with it either, I just look fo...

Welcome.

As with any motor/ turbo build, I suggest finding another motor so you have an easy out if something goes wrong or if you want to build up while still DD'ing the car.

Welcome to the site.

Need more details about the car though.

Year?
Price?
Mileage?

Then someone can give you an answer.

Routing PCV to catch can

I have already removed my EGR system and am about to route the PCV to a catch can in the next few weeks. I just need a little help with the situation. Should I replace the PCV or remove the valve and just run lines to the can? Either way it is going to be run to a catch can, I just need to know whet...

New from South MS

Hi, my name is Bubba. I am working on a 1991 240sx at the moment. Getting all of my ground work done before I do the motor so I don't have to backstep later. I have spare motors to build so the one in the car now is doomed for eternity. Been lurking around for a while now feeding off of your info ra...
