ECU/CEL Problem?
I have a '89 hatch with a DE in it and my car has been running wierd lately. It doesn't idle smoothly, it usualy fluctuates from 500-1500rpm's and more often than not when I come to a complete stop, it dies out on me. I checked my ECU's code and got a 55 from it, which I believe is "all clear&q...

Well, after the white bunny setup not lining up like I figured it might, I'm going to go with a fidanza ka flywheel and a rps 6 puck clutch. That should handle what I'm going to be making. I'm still a little upset about the white bunny setup though, I was really hoping that would be a good setup for...

Well, I just got my clutch and pressure plate in. I've had the flywheel for a couple weeks now. The pressure plate will not bolt up to the flywheel. The size looks like it would make a good fit, the clutch is a bit smaller than where the grooves on the flywheel are, maybe a 16th of an inch around. I...

I believe the 300zx non turbo clutch I ordered was for a '90-96 model. And Matej, I'm going to put down 350tq or so, not planning on going any higher after I get it all pieced together, but my car is a daily driver and my wife also drives it. I just would rather my car feel a little streetable until...

Hrm, I didn't realize that those were ebay clutch kits until today. I was looking at thier actual website when I posted that. I didn't think it would be a **** clutch because they had a special on Zilvia.net one time and people were eating it up. I tried to look up more reviews on it, but that's all...

Same old white bunny discussion, with specifics this time
I just bought a 1991 d21 flywheel offline for $50. I'm looking into the F1 Racing Stage 2 300zx Non-Turbo clutch kit for a 1990-96. It's a 240mm clutch, rated for 320hp 302tq. I was going to make sure with you guys before I put any money into the white bunny that it was compatible. Sorry for beating...

Hrm, that could be the case. Maybe it is loosing coolant through the HG. Could be the case because it was overheating to begin with when i got it and the kid that had it before didn't do any maintenance on it. It's a good thing I'm building my other motor soon. I planned on doing it right the first ...

Yes, I'm using the OEM thermostat for the '91 hb 240sx, my model. Do you think I should switch to the aftermarket one? Are there any fool proof ways of bleeding all the air from the lines? I see some people have temp guages for their water, later on if I go turbo should I have one of these as well a...

I have a non turbo (for now) Kade, and I have a cxracing alum radiator with a no name fan at 100%. A while back, my temperatures would go through the roof (hitting hot) and then go down to half way. I tried replacing thermostats, I went through 3 of them and decided that wasn't the problem. I don't ...

I had that problem with my car for a while, it turned out that there was a hole in my intake pipe where I had taken the hose off that goes from the rad shroud to the intake and I never plugged it. The MAF reads there is more air going in and it compensated for more fuel, but since that air was escap...

I'm really glad you posted this with pics because someone did a ka engine building write-up and he talked about this o-ring in it but I had never seen it before. Can't remember whether the links to the pics were deleted or w/e or there were no pics. That issue was probably a p.i.t.a, but thanks for ...

I have a friend that has a problem similar to yours, he said that there was wiring that got pinched underneath his dash and every now and then it doesn't wanna start. Wiring is usually a pain, but that may be the culprit. I would think it would be something basic like that, especially if you've had ...

A friend of mine recently ordered some aluminum engine mounts from ebay that are made in canade. They look cylindrical, almost like a small coke can. It's pretty easy to get the motor mounts out. The only problem we had was drilling bigger holes in the brackets for the stud that was on these aluminu...
