I'm almost positive that the hole in the intake was what was causing the problem. I taped it up since I really don't have anything to plug it with, and cut my exhaust pre-cat in prep for the new one. I took it out for a spin and voila, the problem seems to be solved. It runs a bit different in the p...

I have a hole in the exhaust, not the intake. I have another exhaust, an intake with emissions removed, tapped and plugs put in and some other things going in the car soon. I will give some feedback here after I'm done. Also, I found there is a small hole in the intake where it hooked up to the fan ...

S13 KADE '91 From Deleware.
Most people call me Windham, that's what I usually go by now. I'm 23 years old and I'm originally from Texas. I bought the S13 a few months back to drive back and fourth where I work at on base mainly because it was a cheaper car that had potential. The kid I bought it from had a sr20det, tranny, cr...

I do have a coolant leak that I temporarily fixed with high temp rtv on the intake, by where the upper rad hose connects to. It doesn't seem to be leaking, but I suspect that may be the cause also. High temp rtv can only last so long lol. I have another intake manifold that I'm about to take off, bl...

Would an exhaust leak cause this? My exhaust has been banging around below my driver side seat, I think that some of the bolts finally gave way due to rust. My friend just donated, more or less, an expensive exaust towards my cause. Another friend of mine that's owned a lot of sr's and a few ka's to...

Almost all of those symptoms sound like what's going on. I haven't ever checked timing on a car, I don't have a lot of hands on when it comes to engine build/timing etc. It does get a little better after warming up, and it starts realling pulling after 4k. I figured that was where our powerband star...

Car not idling correctly
I have a '91 hatch, stock ka24de with 127k on it. Recently, the car has had idling issues and has been shutting off on me while coasting in nuetral to stops. When I take off in first, it stumbles before it will really go anywhere. It will almost not go at all, then I have to give it a little more ga...
