Well i turned my engine to tdc and checked the rotor on the distributor and its right at the cylinder one wire. Im dont know why the idle would sky rocket when the big plug on the tps is unplugged. Maybe the tps adds extra fuel to compensate for the crazy "vacuum leak" the iacv is creatin...

I wish somebody would make custom s13/s14 new interior parts.. I hate cheap plastic in car interiors, the 240sx has alot of it.

Re: Weird high idle

Ok, im having a lot of problems with my car. Everything idles fine but when i unplug the tps sensor, the idle jumps to 2000rpms. The screw on the iacv is all the way in and the idle is still really high. Ive tried another iacv and same deal. Also, with the lime green plug on my iacv disconnected, t...

on my s13, I took a 4 foot 2x4, jacked car up by diff, put 2x4 on top of jackstands and in front of rear subframe on unibody frame across width of car, dropped subframe no problem.
Brake booster will cause spongy problems also.

Ecu sends signal for coil to fire, this signal goes through the ignition control module which converts it to a output the coil itself can use to fire. Ignition control module is little square thing held on coil bracket with 2 bolts, and has a plug, try swapping out the coil and ignition control modu...

The 2 240s I have seen with messed up/dead coil would rev to about 4000-4500 and start sputtering and backfiring... they idled perfect and cruised perfect.
Could be a bad injector too, do you have any spare parts around??

Make a fuel rail?
Sohc is super simple and top feed already... buy some generic rail, weld 2 tabs on it, put threaded ends... some an fittings. Done.

Zip ties are a invention handed down from the gods to mortals. (as is duct tape and jbweld)

Uhhhh then your fuel pump would never shut off....
Battery to fuse to relay to pump.
Stock pump power to trigger relay or stock trigger wire off ECU and remove stock fuelpump circuit.

KA is internally balanced...
but even so pulleys would only be worth less than 10hp or 7.5 rwhp.... not worth taking a chance and spending initial $300+ to take a chance.

I'm out because of nissanfanatic's ramblings (and carefull reconsideration of hp per dollar/cool factor)

Check these sensors per FSM procedure:
Coolant temp
MAF
TPS
Also check injector plugs, sometimes they get ***** up.. strange it is only at cruising not acceleration... that pretty much rules out fuel/igniton.

Try unplugging lime green plug from AAC on back of intake manifold and see if idle comes down. Rail guns work great, and current ones only once.... you only need a ***** powersupply big as a car. Try sneaking up on something with a giant diesel pickup and 5000 lb generator to fire some dumb ass chunk of metal.
