Re: Any reviews on Five 0 Motorsports?
Yeah, I don't know what exactly would make a rather common injector go bad from E85 - especially right away! I run Fuel Injector Clinic brand...never heard of them before my build. Just switched to E85...:) We'll see. R34SR you and I have followed a very similar path! With my first 240 build ever, I...

No no, by that I mean I recently installed coilovers as well. These were part of the kit.

It has something to do with the built-in themes. I am running subsilver2 - it doesn't seem this happens for me!TrackStarGT wrote:What about the fact that photos are cut off on the right side while using a computer desktop browser, while my phone browser, safari, can see the whole photo that is uploaded?

Re: Help me decide between SOHC or DOHC turbo build!
Yeah, you wouldn't want to run those pistons on an SOHC if they are meant for DOHC. Some folks play with SOHC pistons in DOHC applications to achieve a higher compression ratio (10.5:1 maybe with some specific SOHC ones?) The head doesn't sound too bad, especially if it was supposed to be a cleaned ...

You shouldn't be boosting at idle. Something really sounds like you are running much too rich.

Looked in my bellhousing and found the broken piece of flywheel. Could only assume the clinking noise was the starter skipping on one tooth and smacking into the next tooth in line. ! Nice observing :) I would have a hard time disagreeing with you here. I bet you feel lovely knowing it's very likel...

Re: car will not start...
The most common cause for starter "click" issues comes down to voltage. The next biggest one is a solenoid problem. I've had a brand new (albeit remanned) alternator from an auto parts chain store. The component that makes the gear "leap" forward is good, but the component that i...

The 10.2 WOT is likely your issue - the excess fuel is probably blowing our your spark. Boost AFRs should be in the mid-low 11s for unleaded gasoline.

The situation will come down to Ryan's decision on what to do with the site. I have suggested selling ownership, but over the last 2 years or so I have only been able to coax a few sentences out of him. Luckily Rick has been able to allow me Administrator access, though. He's been good at keeping th...

Yep, I had this happen to me. Stripped idler pulley bolt.....AGH. Such a pain. I was able to helicoil it with the head still on the block in the engine bay. Radiator had to come out to make room for the drill, but it worked. I hope this gets you past a milestone. I spend nearly a month trying to get...

Yep, take the upper cover off and take a picture of the cams at top dead center. Also make sure we can see the alignment marks on the gears to see where they are. Likely the marks on the chains will not be aligned, but we can judge based off where the gears/cam lobes are. For the distributor though,...

If you have to run the distributor at an extreme angle for it to run, are you sure it isn't a tooth off?

Hey adam, it does sound like it could be a local issue. I logged in using Firefox 31.0. Went to the about tab to see which version I was running, updated to the latest 32.0. Restart was required, and when it came back up I was still logged in.

For a boost leak test, make sure you turn the check valve around on the brake booster line. This way you would pressurize the brake booster to further your effort in leak detection.

On the way home from work I picked up two options - crimped nuts and external tooth washers. They didn't have any metric internal-tooth, only 3/8" which were a hair too small. I've got the crimped nuts on there now - I'll be damned if those things back off, haha. If they do, well, I will get my...
