240 generation variation pronunciation?

Post by Stay KA »

Okay

Chūki= chew-key
Zenki= zen-key
Kouki= Koo-Key

I've been saying Koo-e-key for the longest but I'm thinking that's wrong.
How do you guys pronounce it.
:D

the dude got pissed with me cuz i didnt know...i was like who the F cares! I 'd rather know how to build a block or tune than be able to know what difference is for aesthic parts...

I have always heard Kouki pronounced Koh-kay.

It has been my observance that most people don't use the whole zenki, kouki, chuki thing in reference to s13s. Its either pignose or type-x or otherwise. People seem to get confused when I respond to a spotted thread describing a chūki S13, so I have stopped using that designation.

yes, to all for me. however, i have heard kouki pronounce as "coke-key" before.

i reference them as:
s13 = hatch or coupe, then pignose or chuki
s14 = zenki or kouki

Yea I'm the same way, I really only say S13, or S14 (zenki/kouki)

But that's not what I was asking. Everyone is getting so mad though haha. I'm just saying does anyone pronounce them different. Not whether or not you choose to use them.

haha. i was one of the few people who actually answered your question and you quoted me to say "that's not what i was asking" because i also included information as to what the others were talking about.

lived in japan for 2 years, they cut their words with, (a ,i ,u ,e ,o) pronounced
( a = like in father)
( i = like in key)
( u = like in booth)
( e = like in hey)
( o = like in over)

kouki = ko - oo - key

Names are for the generations!
s13= 3 versions (chuki, zenki, and kouki)
kouki for s13, are the newer year 180sx

s14 = zenki, kouki

Ching Ching, Nami Nami!

enjoy :P

It kinda depends where you are in Japan. I have noticed differences in some of the language.

Wierd things I made mistakes on early on was Desu = 'des' , but you end the word like you are silently saying the U to get it sounding right.
