Wheel fitment front 17x9.75?

Post by DEEPfrom1 »

Well I just realized there is no dedicated suspension or wheel section on this forum. I guess this will have to do. I would ask on zilvia but I value the knowledge on this.

This is on an S13

I am ordering the new xxr 527's today or tomorrow ( Feel free to hate) as I have no need for expensive wheels. For the rear I am set on the 17x9.75 +25. Now my question is for the front they have either the same size or 17x8.25 +25. Just curious if anyone thinks I can run the 9.75 on the front without to many issues, or should I just go with the 8.25 up front and call it a day. I'd rather go with the 9.75 all around but the et25 is kind of a limiting factor. I guess I could play the spacer game.

Lets hear some input.

You guys rock.

-Mark

Thanks for the link, I have looked at the before. However, that link is information about wheel fitment on a s14. I am looking for s13 information.

Thanks though.

looking at getting the 527's as well, will be interested to see how they fit, post pics when you get them.

I thought about doing the 8.25" all around but would definitely like the wider wheels out back if possible.

I ran 17X9.5s up front -6ET. I had to pull the liners and hammer down all the seams.

Legit, but these only come in +25et. and are .25 of an inch wider. I would need one hell of a spacer up front haha.

I just ordered the 527's in the 17x9.75's all around for my S13. I have Megan coils, so I opted to get the extended lower brackets in case I need them. I'm also fully prepared to hammer/cut/bang/weld whatever needs some 'persuading'...

When they come in, I'll update on how they fit with Z32 brakes, and regular coilovers. I will also let you know if I need to use the extended lower brackets. I really don't want to run spacers, as a few of the classes of auto cross don't let you run them.

But yeah, mine are ordered. Let you know when they come in. Hopefully next few weeks.

Going 5 bolt def opens up a wider range of possibilities for wheels...

You can get sick staggered wheel combos w/ stickie tires from mustang sites.

17X9's +25 up front on stock fenders.

Check out this site and some of their stuff, this is where I ordered 2 different sets of my cobra wheels.

They didnt look bad, however the 10.5's in the rear were HEAVY. 55lbs with tires I believe. When I switched to the machined faced 03' cobra wheels they dropped down just over 10lbs each! I personally got tired of them very fast, the front wheels with the rounded spokes got cheap looking fast. I loved the 03' cobra wheels, Im still trying to figure out how I can get a set to fit my S2K.

Here are some better pics.

If your coils dont have camber adjustment on the top bolt of the spindle connection, you can elongate the hole to gain adjustment. I've done this before and I had to do this to get the stang wheels to fit. You can die grind the hole or if you have a small bridgeport you can use a mill.
