ebay coils......
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISSAN-S ... 1c14989840 lol I'm thinking about it...let the flaming ensue.
same as godspeed/emusa and whatever else came out of that plant. Do a google serach for emusa review and see what you come up with. I have been tempted with $500 coils but i dont want to kick myself in the ass later. I am on s tech springs with kyb agx and no issues after 4 years of having the car.

These Ebay/Emusa coil overs are COMPLETE GARBAGE. NEVER let anyone buy them!!!
The stantion tube moves conciderably within the shock body. Because the S chassis suspension rides on this axis of motion, it will create shaking, poor handling characteristics and premature seal failure. Mine never ended up leaking in the 1+ years I ran them, but you could grap the wheel and move the top of the wheel in and out 1/4" because of the play in the shaft on the shock.
Dont waste your money!
Spend a couple hundred more and get Megans, NEX, K-sports etc. It really isnt worth it. I spent a bunch of money trying to resolve my 50mph steering wheel shake and it ended up being the junk coils. Unless you like your steering wheel to shake on the highway, save another pay check. You wont even be able to get your car aligned properly.

I work at emusa and wouldn't buy them even though i get a big discount on them. Cheap struts on a McPherson setup = fail

Wow I really appreciate the feed back guys. I could buy 1000 dollar coils if I wanted but I just think its overkill for a full blown street car. I'm not worried too much about ride quality because I'm getting a suby for the dd until my 302 swap is done. But if you got some rear coils I'm interested I might be getting some front ksports for 200 something without shipping figured in.

I hate my k-sports j/s. Get you some eibach's or tein's on some kyb struts. They would probaly suite your needs better. I would research the weight differences and see how that's gonna affect ya before I just bought something. . 02's

She turns good. I don't auto x or drift but street drive and it is good for me. No body roll and stiff but not bouncy. I have upper strut bars front and back and lower strut bar in rear. I also put solid sub-frame bushings and upgraded the front sway bar rubbers to energy suspension.

yea ive been wanting to run a similar set-up, eibach springs on kyb gr2's, i dont do much auto x either, i hate spending $75 for putting my car on the track, but occasionally i like to kick it sideways when its raining so i think a basic suspension set up like you have named above should do me well

I will eventually do coil overs but I dont want to spend that much right now. This simple setup is working fine and has been in the past. Next major upgrades are z32 tranny and rims.

Doesnt look very good to me. Lowering springs simply dont cut it on the S chassis. I concider a 3" drop the heighest I would ever go with coil-overs.supakat wrote:Get fatter tires. There are tons of other coil overs in the $700-$1000 range that are great like I listed above. Just dont touch the super insane cheap chinese ones.
I work rework the priorities and do the coils before the Z tranny. Coils are a must and almost always a first mod for me.

different strokes for different folks. I would rather spend the money on the tranny than coils. If I buy coils and tranny goes, I got a car that cannot move until I get the tranny. Also I dont care for the slammed look that much. While it does look good, i dont want to have to roll fenders or run stretched tires so I can ride lower which runs risk of putting a hole in my oil pan or damaging other components. I want to drive without having to worry about clearing speed bumps, pot holes, sewers, etc. Driving a low car is a f*ucking pain. When I get coils, it will not be super low and so much negative camber just to fit the wheels. So my basic statement is the pros do not outweigh the cons.

To each their own. I find with coils the car is an inch lower but the suspension is much stiffer so you actually bottom out less. Eibachs are only 2" low but they have a lot more travel and will compress just as far. You get used to coils and adjust your driving style, I cant remember the last time I harsh bottomed out a 240 and I live in pot hole city.
This was my last ride height, I was running some pretty tall tires too.
These were the Emusa's, but again, I wouldnt buy them ever again!

why would it sit lower?? i had a 318ci in my car and it sat higher in the frontbmitchell_ga wrote:It may sit even lower with your v8 swap.twofortyrida wrote:true but even with the teins and kybs i have it still looks like a mondter truck with 17s lol.
i like the eibach sport line springs. i still rock em and the ride isn't all that bad.
but for coils don't waste the money on those junk get some bc coilovers.
i have delt with sevral pairs. 08 john works mini and on a 05 gti.

definitely to each their own. I am in south Florida and there is always construction. I have always liked your rim choice. She looks good especially with the stance which springs cannot do. I understand what you mean about the coils and springs. I am planning on doing my 5 lug swap when i get money to buy rims. I already possess the full swap.

Breast implants are by no measure healthy, but they look pretty good.
