Opinions on comp clutch

Post by ryan987 »

Looking to buy a clutch and I'm limited on funds. I found a comp clutch stage 2 for a good price. What are everyone's opinions on the CC line of products? Give reason to back up opinion.

Comp clutch is pretty good. I've never heard anything bad about them.

what are your requirements power and torque wise? The white bunny works good for me and the price is insanely cheap for its capabilitys . Google white bunny or search it on here .Basically it is a D21 pickup clutch and flywheel setupand can be had for 100-150 bucks depending on your hookups with parts stores.

White bunny is a good, cheap alternative.

Well I have the CC White Bunny. It is actually a RB flywheel with a 350z clutch. I am still in the breaking in period, but it grabs hard. It doesn't want to slip at all, it just chatters, but that will probably go away when it is broken in

Ive run the white bunny and was extremely happy with it. Bought a flywheel for $50, and a "stage 3" aftermarket clutch. no driveline shock, easy engagement and held all the clutch kick I dished out to it.

i don't know what would a stage 2 hold on an evo. but comp clutches are pretty good. friend had the stage 4 clutch/flywheel combo(250mm) on his ka-t and it held well.

I have also been running a Competition Clutch for quite a few years now. I am on my second one. I am running a stage 4, 6 puck sprung hub and it is very streetable considering that it will hold (IIRC) over 400 ft/lbs of torque. The pedal is not any stiffer than stock and the engagement is nice and smooth. Their prices are pretty competitive too. I would definitely recommend them.

I have no idea which clutch would hold 350 wtq for your Evo but I bet if you shoot an email to Competition Clutch they can tell you.

I went ahead and ordered the comp clutch stage 4 , 6 puck sprung hub. Came out to 380$ out the door. I'm picking it up today and installing this weekend. Once broken in I'll let y'all know how it is.
