looking for holset hx52/55/60 maps
i know theres quite a few holset people on here, has anyone run across a map for the hx52, hx55 or hx60 variants? its about the equivalent of a t70, their small t4 frame turbo
the holset site seems to be useless in this regard

There are like hundreds of different versions of those turbos. The HX52 and HX55 are very simular and have compressor inducers from 64-71mm. The turbine are between 70-81mm and there are both T4 and T6 flanges. Housings are anything from 10cm2 to 25cm2
The HX60 is larger and most of them has a 76mm inducer... not sure about the turbine but i think they are al T6 ones. It's not easy finding compressor maps for holset
Oh, almost forgot. There are also cast and billet compressors

my problem is, i cant find anything for over the hx40 period. i know there are multiple variants, was trying to find something that compares to a t70-t76 turbo, but just max flow numbers do not tell me if i am out of the turbos efficiency range. would hate to be surging on something that large or overspool it.

Hmm, I don't think you will have a surge problem since the al have a "antisurge" compressor housing. Atleast I never heard about anyone having surgeproblems....
I'm running a HX55 without any problems, but they are really huge on the outside and spool pretty late....
How much horsepower are you looking for?
If I were to choose a holset today I think I would go for the largest HX40, have seen up to 650whp with them and they spool alot faster than the smallest HX55....

looking for 600 through a 5.3L, flows a bit more air than our ka's do, but figured it was on the edge of something we could use on our motor as well

looks like the super 40 isnt big enough for the 5.3, fall off the map on it
16 psi puts me at
2.08 PR
80.51 LB/Min airflow
the pro 52 seems to fit though

Yes a HX40 would be to small on that engine A HX60 should be good for almost 1000whp on the right engine. On smaller engines they usually dont't get more than 900whp becouse the presseru ratio gets to high. Most holset want to stay below 2,5bar. 2bar is usally a good place to be This is only based on dyno experience from Sweden.....

oh i know they love that 2 bar spot
trying to find one this time that I can have high air flow at about 1 bar. it seems the tuning takes a bit more scrutniy at higher boost levels to not break an engine =)
plus, i still need this car to be functional on a road course. trying for just 500hp. after that I need to start upgrading other things like my clutch, axles, wider tires (which happen to be downright expensive for tires over 275/17).
