Yeah idk was even getting on it or anything just doing like 75 on the highway for 45min then got off on a exit ramp got back into 1st and started hearing the noise bad. It just kept getting louder then is started to sound like the video. O and plus I had 67 mile tow back to my house which cost 256 bucks

Lol stupid spammer

That sucks about the trans, sounds the bearings just went out or something.. I have been beating on my trans for a long time without any issues at all. I have had bearing / input shaft noise for a really long time though.

They always really pretty bad when the shifter is out, but not that bad lol

The tow truck ride home is what scares me, its more than the damn parts lol

Ive got a few friends with AAA where i can slide them 40-60 bucks and I get towed. Since they get like 3 tows a year and dont use their allotted tows, why not? You should ask around if any of your buddies has it.

Thats cool, crack that sucker open when you can, i think we are all curious about what happened in there.

I think they have the same internals as a KA trans, at least a similar power level handling.

It should be the same internals. Definitely take a look and share some pictures, I'd like to see what failed

Pulling the tranny from the bottom is super easy. Don't pull the motor, its harder that way

Taking it off is not the problem, putting it back in is. You don't need to remove the engine, but do remove the engine mounts and sling the engine to give you some play. You will need it when installing the new/repaired one.

Good point. What I did was loosened the engine mount bolts all the way but leave them on.Then I loosened the 4 subframe bolts all the way but left them on. Then jack up the motor from the oil pan(use a block of wood), then that will tilt the motor which makes it A LOT easier to put the tranny back in. But make sure you have a way to lift the tranny, its a heavy mo fo. I'm only 155lb and 5'7 and I did it by my self with a only a scissor jack lol. So you can do it.

I've just always done It as a whole. Seems like a bi*ch might just rip it all out. Idk yet. Pulled the drain plug on the trans all sorts of metal bits

ive had the same thing happen a couple times . Youll probably get it apart and find the teeth stripped off the main shaft gear and or the countershaft gear.
