Remanufactured / New cranks

Post by 96_240_KA »

So... just got a call from my engine builder and the crank has a hairline crack. I was just about to buy my turbo manifold too... He says it might be able to be polished? But he did also say I may need a new crank. The funny thing is I just ran across a thread on a great place to pick up remanned cranks and now for the life of me I can't find it. I figured for future reference this thread's title would help with a search. Could someone either post up where to get these cranks or link me up with the thread I found earlier. I literally used ten different combinations of crank, remanufactured, new, crack, cracked, etc.

Appreciate any help.

NPD was suppose to sell a FCWC but stopped nor started. The guy who built the motor was on here awhile ago selling his motor setup with the crank. The only FCWC that I know of is the BC 2.6L stroker crank. Can probably get one made for 2G or more. I think I remember some company out of N or S Carolina making cranks.

Cool beans. I was not aware BC was selling them. I never seen them on their site or a pic of them. I faintly recall someone talking about them.

even with a built head, most aftermarket cams + springs aren't spec'd for 8k. That's a quote via Ben @ JWT regarding Supertech and their own cams.

That is why you go with a VQ valve train setup. You will also need an ATI balancer. The cost to get up to 8500 is pretty steep but worth it when done.

Let me ask my engine builder cause he's the one that hooked me up on my crank. He had a deal where you could straight trade your busted crank for a brand new one with like $50 to $100 on top. It was awhile ago but soooo legit.
