this is creative but defiantly a bad idea, I couldn't imagine that holding under operating conditions with boost

A bead rolling tool cam be made out of a set of vice grips, exhaust clamp and a large washer. If you search there are multiple examples online on how to. Cost me less than 20$ and worked perfect

Wiseco/Eagle, JWT S1 cams, BC valve springs, PT5857, ID1700 injectors, SR20DET ECU w/ Nismotronic, COP conversion with LS ignition coils, etc, etc...

Yeah, definitely make yourself a bead roller. Inexpensive, unlimited, reliable results :) With steel piping I'd settle for some 6-8 small weld beads around the perimeter.

those beads look great onthechip.. way better then the ones those guys make with the vice grips and exhaust clamps..

I have simply bent the tube with pliers and it seemed to work in a pinch.

Though, I used a welder to weld a small bead onto pipes long term.

...

Otherwise, truck radiator hose for couplers and/or hairspray are other common fixes.
