heater hoses?

Post by ka240de »

DE track car with no heater, will be using an excessive intake if that matters. is it okay to cap off my heater core lines or is it an absolute must to recirculate? today i cut and welded (one of many i have) the heater core nipple on the block. thought i should ask before running it.

You should still keep the large by-pass line, but all the other lines are optional for a racecar.

How do you defog if its raining during your track day?

When I blocked off the outlet on the block for the heater core and the return that leads to behind the thermostat, I found it impossible to bleed with the custom manifold I run. I had to put the elbow back into the block and connect that to the nipple behind the thermostat.

Your mileage my vary but that is my experience :)
