Royal Purple Oil Filter

Post by flytwa78 »

Just wondering if anyone had tried the Royal Purple Oil Filters. Thinking about getting them.

Tried one on the S2000. From reading about them they are pretty high quality. They are made by Champion filters IIRC. I ended up just going back to OEM filters.

On the KA I'd probably just stick with Purolators. They are pretty tried and true.

cory, stick with oem filters on the s2000. Lots of s2000's and k series, b series hondas come through with aftermarket "super duper filter oil filter" and have rod knock or bearing problems. Some of them even on the dyno had to troubleshoot vtec function and oil filter was the problem. Some of s2000's just had **** owners that didnt check their oil and let it run low.

basically for any oil filter look up manufacture specs on micron size of filter and choose accordingly.
