Just wanted some insight on what I need to change/add or wether or not I should spend what Im spending on some of the parts is the GT35R turbo good enough to hit the 600whp range? My instinct is saying no and go with the GT40 but that would mean more spool time and having to go further into the RPMs to reach it. Somewhat of a noob to the JDM world so I researched alot before finally registering and asking questions on here. Ive owned a 04 Pontiac 5.7L Twin Turbo before so Im not new to forced induction but new to doing it by myself. Thanks for the opinions and insight guys. Gotta go head out with the wife and kid to D&B for some fun.

You are all over the place with your list, it screams I'm a buffoon with money who did next to zero research. 35r probably won't hit 600. Everything I bolded is a waste.
Subtracting out all that nonsense knocks the total down by $8,000

Lol Ive actually researched alot and Im not a bufoon with money Im a hardworking Navy guy who busted his ass on several deployments earning my keep so dont assume **** you douchebag. I went through every website I know and looked up what parts were good and which werent. I came on here looking for good advice and all I got was insults i dont know **** about these motors never touched a 4 cylinder or a 6 in my life and barely did any of the work on my GTO because Ive never built my own car. Im doing that now so Im learning. So thanks for the half assed help and go suck a dick moron. You have given the first and everlasting impression that everyone on KA-T forums are straight up abismal human beings.

Prod1gy, WTF, man?

FromMuscle2JDM, he is right that you do have some parts on there that are redundant or simply not necessary. For example, the Apex S-AFC isn't needed if you're going to have an AEM EMS.

This forum is kind of slow now a days, so sometimes you might not get a reply for several days. I'm on my phone right now, but I'll look through your list tomorrow and give some feedback.
Wiseco/Eagle, JWT S1 cams, BC valve springs, PT5857, ID1700 injectors, SR20DET ECU w/ Nismotronic, COP conversion with LS ignition coils, etc, etc...

Thanks for the reply appreciate it. I know it seems like I put rabdom **** in a list and threw it on here but I threw most of the things on here simply I wanted peoplr to give insight on wether or not I needed everything I listed. For instance wether or not it would be a good idea to just run the Apexi instead for a bit until I actually hit my goals later in the build I want to build a high hp right the first time. So thanks for your help in advance bro.

The engine parts listed in my FS thread will easily get you to the hp level you seek and save you a ton of $$$. You should buy them!

Cliff notes:
CP .20 over 9:1 pistons with upgraded wrist pins
Crower I beam connecting rods (not brian crower)
ATI super damper
Supertech iconel intake & ss exhaust valves
Supertech dual valve springs
ARP 2000 KA specific head studs
ARP KA main studs
Cosworth 1.5mm mls headgasket
Felpro full engine gasket set

As if that didn't sound enticing enough. They are all BRAND NEW IN BOX.

Also have some turbo bits & bobs if you're looking.

Eagle Forged H-Beam Connecting Rods $349.99
ER Exhaust Manifold Studs $49.99
Magnecor KV85 Competition Plug Wires $108.99
Mishimoto KA Silicone Hose Kit $165.00
Mishimoto Coolant Resevoir Tank $75.00
P2M Under Tray Panel $175.50
Supertech Piston Rings $18.04 The pistons should already come with rings
Xcessive KA24DE Aluminum Oil Pan $334.99 **The stock oil pan will work fine and most people will tell you that it's not necessary. However, I have one and really like it. And it has a built in NPT port to hook your turbo oil drain into. Get an aftermarket SR sump and gain come oil capacity**
CP Forged Pistons KA24DE .020" 89.5mm $653.00
Brian Crower Crankshaft KA24De 102mm Stroke 4340 Billet $1909.95 Really not necessary for your goals and pretty hard to find.
Brian Crower Valve Spring and Retainer Kit $434.10
Jim Wolf Adjustable Cam Timing Sprocket Set $140.00
Brian Crower Camshaft 272/272 Duration, 10.19mm/10.19mm $422.18
ACT Street(Xtreme) Clutch Kit $386.00 For your goals, you will want to switch to the RB flywheel and 350Z clutch kits.
Wilwood Superlite Big Brake Front Upgrade Kit $1069.99 I never want to dissuade someone from better brake, but this may be overkill. Upgrading to 300zx brakes on all 4 corners and 300zx master cylinder should do the job for a lot less
Wilwood Superlit Flex Line Kit $59.95
PSM Brake Master Cylinder Heat Shiled $22.50
GKtech Billet Aluminum High Capacity Diff Cover $650 Really not necessary, but it's your money, so get it if you want
KAAZ 1.5 way LSD $995 or can I keep the stock ones and just weld them? KAAZ makes good diffs too but like any clutch plate LSD has it's quirks which may or may not be annoying if this is going to be a daily driver. I wouldn't go welded unless this will be a mostly track car. If it's a street car, a stock VLSD in good working order or a S15 helical diff are your best options.
Driveshaft shop Aluminum Driveshaft $429.99
Driveshaft Shop 600hp Complete 6 Bolt Axle Kit Front and Rear $944.95 Your weak points at 500-600 hp are going to be the stock KA transmission, and the axles. If you make one of these better, than the other one will be your weak link. For 500-600 hp, I'd look at going with a Z32 trans and Q45 diff, which has stronger axles
AEM EMS V2 $1454.88
Apexi S-AFC Neo Fuel Management $575.00 Not necessary with a AEM EMS
ISR Performance Straight Dual 3" Exhaust $280.00
ISR Performance Test Pipe $60.00
AEM Fuel Pressure Regulator Kit $299.99but
ISR Performance OE Nissan 300zx Fuel FIlter $16.45
Tomei 740cc Fuel Injectors $644.95
Walbro High Pressure 255ltr/hr Fuel Pump $109.99
Radium Top Feed Fueld Rail $299.95 At the power you are looking for, 91-93 oct pump gas isn't going to cut it. You're going to need race gas or E85. And these injectors will not cut it.
P2M Thermal Intake Manifold Gasket $31.50 Not necessary and since we have a coolant passage literally running through the intake manifold, there's not a whole lot of benefit.
ISR Performance Exhaust Manifold Gasket $24.99 I'd go with a copper gasket
Greddy Aluminum Racing Radiator $909.99 A Koyo is about a third of that price
ISR Performance Fan Shroud $129.99
Megan Racing Short Shifter $119.99
HKS S-Type Intercooler Kit $1724.25 That's just crazy for an intercooler kit. I'd look for something cheaper, but don't go full ebay. Ebay intercoolers tend to have low fin density and while they may work fine for low boost applications, they'll offer limited cooling as you increase boost. Stick with Precision turbo intercoolers, or Spearco. I'm running a Treadstone intercooler and it has densely packed internal fins. It's affordable and way better than your average eBay iintercooler
AEM Tru Boost Gauge $313.99
Injen Intake 16 Valve $199.99 ?? Is this made for turbo applications? I'm only familiar with the ones for N/A KAs.
DOC Race T3 Top Mount Turbo Manifold $695.00
Garret GT35R Turbo $1549.00 This will get you to 500hp, but I'm honestly not sure if it will get you to 600+
Tial MV-R 44mm Wastegate $359.99
V Band Inlet Flange For Tial 44mm Wastegate $14.95
Total: $19561.43 (seems a little much for 500-650whp or am I wrong?)

Mishimoto Coolant Resevoir Tank $75.00 (if your stock one isnt broke, this isnt needed)
P2M Under Tray Panel $175.50 (not needed)
Supertech Piston Rings $18.04 (comes with pistons as mentioned by other members)

ACT Street(Xtreme) Clutch Kit $386.00 (that clutch is loads of fun in stop and go traffic, just so you know. recommended z32 trans z clutch)
Wilwood Superlite Big Brake Front Upgrade Kit $1069.99 (also recommend the z32 calipers, can buy them at the autoparts store)
Wilwood Superlit Flex Line Kit $59.95 (get braided lines for z32 calipers)
PSM Brake Master Cylinder Heat Shiled $22.50 (dont necessarily need depending on turbo location)

Driveshaft shop Aluminum Driveshaft $429.99 (get a steel driveshaft for the z32 trans)
Driveshaft Shop 600hp Complete 6 Bolt Axle Kit Front and Rear $944.95 (dont need, use axles with q45 diff upgrade)

Apexi S-AFC Neo Fuel Management $575.00 (dont need if you have standalone)
ISR Performance Straight Dual 3" Exhaust $280.00
ISR Performance Test Pipe $60.00 (would look around, that is a very expensive 18" section of pipe)
AEM Fuel Pressure Regulator Kit $299.99 (aeromotive or fuel labs 6AN or 8AN regulator, half the price and more reliable)
ISR Performance OE Nissan 300zx Fuel FIlter $16.45 (auto parts store, just buy the stock 300zx fuel filter)

Greddy Aluminum Racing Radiator $909.99 (you can buy a high end griffin radiator for half the price and they are custom build in the usa)
ISR Performance Fan Shroud $129.99 (spend the money enclosing the area between your bumper and your radiator, stock fan shroud is actually really good if using mechanical fan in conjunction)
Megan Racing Short Shifter $119.99 (not needed)
HKS S-Type Intercooler Kit $1724.25 (the cxracing kit for piping to weld, can upgrade core if you want, should be able to save 1400$)
AEM Tru Boost Gauge $313.99 (defi cheaper than 313, that is quite alot for a guage)
Injen Intake 16 Valve $199.99 (dont need)
DOC Race T3 Top Mount Turbo Manifold $695.00
Garret GT35R Turbo $1549.00 (want to recommend a larger turbo, hx40 would fit the bill here)
Tial MV-R 44mm Wastegate $359.99 (really like these, might want to search around for a cheaper price though)
V Band Inlet Flange For Tial 44mm Wastegate $14.95 (the tial kit comes with flanges)

missing upgraded electric fans
missing oil supply/drain lines
gauges (wideband, water temp, etc)
new wider tires to actually hold the power
new rims to hold the wider tires
consider 5 lug swap at this point to get cheaper wheels

Thank you everyone who helped me out for not being douche bags I am a noob at this stuff and did my best to research. As I said prior I had a twin turbod GTO but never touched anything on it except for oil changes and breaks etc. So I am a completely lost when it comes to actually picking whats good and whats not required. So I just saw some **** and threw it together. Will rework the list and again thank you guys again!! You have changed my impression of this forum around. Have a good day!!

I know I'm new to the forum but just one thing to remember at 5 or 600 hp your crank will be flexing more as well as many other parts. your main bearings are made of soft metal to "wipe" against the crank when they come in contact due to low oil or flexing. its not a big deal and happens in all cars, but with high hp you need softer bearings and contact will happen more often, both mean more wear. I'm not saying you will ne to rebuild every week but its not a build that will last forever. 600hp especially in 4 cylinders are for race cars and rich people. plus 300hp is an easy build and much more insane than people give it credit for

My advice

Forge the bottom end, get some good machine work to the head, either gasket match or port and polish, a regrind on the cams or a streetable cam setup, do your springs, lifters etc... Get a good clutch, an intercooler, some injectors, a solid head gasket and and spend your money on a quality turbo charger, im exhausted but just tap on me if you want some direction, I havent been on the forum since forever but I am gonna start building me a KA Turbo setup just for something to do...

Another thing you may want to think about is cooling. Everybody tells you how fun turbo is but nobody tells you about how damn hot it makes everything. A small oil cooler would definitely assist any aluminum rad/fan setup you have (especially if you live in the south). Personally, I found it necessary to insulate the firewall, floorboard and brake master cylinder to keep temps down in the cabin and on my brakes. Aftermarket hoods with the fancy jdm tyte vents help and look better than spacers under your hood too. Other than that you should be all set given the parts you listed!

And don't spend $1,700 on an intercooler lol
