Bosch Injector Fitment?

Post by s14fiend »

I was curious to any suggestions what do you guys use for Bosch EV style injector Fitment?

I was searching online and most people run the ricer ID wannabe adapter hats http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fuel-Injector-2 ... 1656623269

but there is also a company that makes a precise drill bit for the head of the injector..... "ross machine" http://www.ebay.com/itm/14mm-Bosch-Styl ... SwImRYLwUK

I want to know what you think is better? I plan to buy the aluminum fuel rail mold thats sold on most sites like Summit and Jegs also if you have a Bosch drill Bit you are selling or lending out for a fee..... let me know PayPal is an option we can do.... I am leaning towards this precise drill bit and it seems like it would be a better fit cause it bevels the end and everything.

I purchased my adapters from Treadstone: http://www.treadstoneperformance.com/vi ... +Extenders

I've also purchased o-rings and adapters from rallysportdirect.com.
Wiseco/Eagle, JWT S1 cams, BC valve springs, PT5857, ID1700 injectors, SR20DET ECU w/ Nismotronic, COP conversion with LS ignition coils, etc, etc...

Thanks for your reply... did you have to drill into your custom fuel rail or did you purchase from the member that discontinued making fuel rails... if so what size drill bit did you use.... did you go off using the size of treadstonde adapter?

I'm not sure. I'm running the Xcessive fuel rail, which has 14 mm injector bores. I'm using 14mm Treadstone adapters simply to extend the length of my injectors. The Xcessive fuel rail is made for 60mm long Bosch injectors, and my new ID1700x's are about 24mm too short.

I also have an OBX fuel rail that I ended up not using with 11mm bores. Due to the design, there really was no room to bore it out to 14mm, so I had 11mm->14mm adapters like the one on eBay that you linked to.

I have no experience with making my own fuel rail, so that's all I can contribute.
