for the record, the stock fpr cant keep up with a walboro or z32 pump. no you don't "have" to get an adjustable, but the fuel pressure will be elevated by 10 psi.

I got a friend with a red top SR20 that put in a walbro 255lph and he needed an adjustable FPR because the walbro was making him run rich, but I'm running a Walbro 190lph on stock FRP just fine...
I would say Its best to be on the safe side, with an adjustable one that has a funny looking gauge on it, and a ridiculous color :)

yeah they should come with an adapter plate with the a nipple on it to connect the hose...

i ran my first ka-t setup on stock fpr, but the one im running has an adjustable, i think a lot of it has to due with what method your using for tuning.. on my first setup i was using a calum so i could adjust for the abundance of fuel, my setup now is using an enthalpy tune with no piggy back so i needed a way to cut fuel
built motor, custom bottom mount, t67, midmount i/c, blowthru z32, tial w/g, hks ssqv, d/w 740's, l/w flywheel, comp 4 puck, b&m shifter, no p/s, no a/c, no emissions

Under Construction
spun a rod bearing
be back in no time

True, but as long as you have a tunable ECU, it's not a big deal. I'm still running the stocker, with no intention to upgrade. If someone is running a pre-tuned ECU, it would be wise to get an adjustable one.
Wiseco/Eagle, JWT S1 cams, BC valve springs, PT5857, ID1700 injectors, SR20DET ECU w/ Nismotronic, COP conversion with LS ignition coils, etc, etc...
