You might open a can of worms with people saying there different, he didnt steal idea, hes just doing what godspeed did to him, etc.

I would probably get the xcessive over cusco. the cusco look kinda shotty compared to the xcessive. But then price would set in so I would just use stock. BTW, the motor mounts can flip from either side. I just installed an s14 with two pass side mounts.

I dont know if rich copied them but he has been working on making a set of mounts for a long time now. even if they are the same i would buy them from him first. great company, service, and stand up guy. I have called him numerous times for answers or just to shoot the s#$t.

Lots of companies copy each other.
But it's usually a lesser quality product, in an attempt to make some money off of unsuspecting people.
Or... It's a design improvement on an already half way decent idea...

Either way, it's just how the world works. I don't blame anyone in particular. Hell, I copy ideas all the time for things on my car. I made some pretty damn good motor stand-off's like Xcessive makes. But I know better than to try to sell them.

Thats why these are slick. The urethane/aluminum puck mounts dont isolate like these would. I stopped selling the mount kits because I couldnt handle them myself.

The cars are 20 years old, to think there are really a market to create "new" products would be foolish. There are two routes either make the same product at a cheaper product or make the product seemer far better/more exclusive. Every company does it.
