time adjustment on obd2

Post by feito »

K I've been searching and reading a lot and can't really come out with my solution. My cars a 96 with the obd 2 crap. I've been trying to adjust the timing w a timing light but can't really get it right. I let it warm up to operating temp, turn it off, get out unplug the tps CONECTORS, start it again and the basterd strarts idling too high, around 1300, even w the iac and throttle adjusting bolt all the way closed. On the fsm it says to put it on some kind of mode?? I'm assuming that's if u have the computers and ****. I rev it up a few times and it still idles high, what am I doing wrong? There is no vac leaks, already checked that.

What tune are you running? Also when i done mine i had to adjust fuel pressure as well seeing that they were way bigger than stock and it brought my idle down around 700..and have you tried adjusting idle after plugging back up then unplugging to see if it stays the same
