finally running ka-t. vac leak/ super rich. help

hey guys so finally got the car running. been searching but cant find exactly what im looking for. im running a jwt ecu with n62 maf and nismo 740s. with a jwt s1 cam, it wont start first crank and need to feel it some fuel on second crank for it to start. then even after its warmed up it runs at 10-AFR. and vac is around 300mmhg. any ideas?

Sounds likes MAF wiring. Confirm?

the green ground that u have by its self i wired into the other green ones. so ka maf groung goes to both grounds on n62. (according to jwt). do u want me to manually ground it or are they supposed to run into eachother

Do what the pic says. I had an issue with JWT wiring. Once I ran one ground to chassis, the MAF worked like a charm.

ok thanks guys ill give it a try when i get back from school. also would anyone know what vac readings i should have at idle. with jwt cams and 1mm oversized valves if it matters

Not quite the same but with bc v2 cams I get 17-18 vacuum at idle.

FYI. I ran the ground to the one harness ground behind the headlight on the passenger side. I am running blow through but I believe there is a harness ground on the driver side if draw through.

did not get to work on her today, but after shes warmed up im seeing about 12inhg at idle. with a flat 10 afr. if i blip the throttle, the gauge shows pressure 0out then drop to about 20inhg then once it idle returns to the 12. afr does lean abit with the blip but returns to the 10..

Had mine wire like jwt and had that same problem. Wired it like above and voila!

Dont understand what the difference was but its whatever.

Ok so wired like supa said grounded to the chassis and same thing. Any other suggestions. I soared all the couplers and hoses with electrical connector cleaner and nothing changes. Any more ideas

about to buy a consult cable online.... will a snap on scanner know what can be happening?

Just making sure you grounded the first black wire to the chassis, then the second to the harness. Make sure they are making good contact and solder them.

yup.. and tried to start it with maf unlugged. the only way it will start like that would be wideopen throttle, mean anything? my buddies ka-t would start just not rev past 3 if it was unplugged

I just wonder if the tune has an issue. Pretty sure it does not but never can tell.

had in issue once, as soon as i ut it in the car from a fresh tune, then ben told be to ship it back, said the motherboard was messed up (corroded) so he got a "new" board. car ran fine, just this is a fresh tune and forgot to open it up to take a look.

ok so pulled all the injectors, cleaned and replaced all o-rings. feels much much better. this week, new gas tank, new filter, and new pump w/ new sock. XD
